Wandering around

[Kris Lupin]

Kris wandered around walking around the grounds. She was trying her best not to think of her brother. She stopped at the edge of the lake watching the rain that had just started hit the water.

[Justine Torrance]

Justine began walking down by the lake. She had just had a nasty fight with her boyfriend Jason and needed some time to herself. The rainy weather suited the blackness of her mood. She walked around slowly, staring out at the water and not really noticing where she was going. Suddenly she realized there was a girl standing there and she had almost crashed into her. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said.

[Kris Lupin]

"It's ok." Kris said not looking at whoever had spoke. She closed her eyes trying to keep the thought of her brother at bay.

[Justine Torrance]

"Wow, you look even more depressed than I do," Justine said. "And that's really saying something." She looked at the girl. "You're a Gryffindor, right?"

[Kris Lupin]

Kris nodded, "Yeah, I am." She dropped to her knees on the ground as thoughts of the first day in years she had spoke to her brother. She was glad that it was raining because no one could see the tears that started to fall. "He hates me...I should have left him alone." She mumbled.

[Justine Torrance]

Justine shrugged and stuffed her hands in her pockets. "Well, aren't we all just alone anyway?" she said oddly. "Listen, I don't know what your problem is or anything, and I doubt you'd want to spill your guts to some oddball Slytherin that no one likes anyway, but, well... if you want, we can both be miserable together."

[Kris Lupin]

"I don't care who knows...I was torn from my little brother and father because of what happened to my brother...I had to stay with someone I really didn't know...and I was suppose to wait until he was older to tell him who I am but I didn't listen...he called me a lier and now I think he hates me."

[Justine Torrance]

"He probably does hate you," Justine said. "I'd hate you if I were him. Because it's easier to hate you, who he doesn't know, than to hate his father. He'll get over it. Maybe. Or not. There' isn't much you can do about it. I mean, you could try talking to him again... but he'll probably shut you out. I would. All you can really do is wait until he's ready to talk. Which might not happen." Justine shrugged and tossed a rock in the water. "Good luck with that."

[Kris Lupin]

"Gee thanks for making me feel better." Kris said sarcastically rolling her eyes. Maybe she should have ran off over the summer like she wanted to.

[Justine Torrance]

"Hey, I said you probably didn't really want to talk to me," Justine said. "I'm not the most positive person in the world. I think that's the only reason I'm even in Slytherin. Because I'm negative. All the time. I can't help it. If you don't get your hopes up about things, you can't ever be disappointed. See, to me, I think you're lucky. At least you have a brother and a father. I have no one. I grew up in a filthy orphanage. Kinda makes you see things on the darker side. The way I see it, you have some hope as long as your family's still alive. But you won't get anywhere sitting around moping. Not that I'm one to talk. I can mope for days." She sat down on the grass and chucked another rock into the lake.

[Kris Lupin]

"So being torn from your family and forgotten all about is lucky? I don't think that I'm as lucky as most people think." Kris glared at the lake as if the lake was all the blame for it.

[Justine Torrance]

"Wow," Justine said. "And I thought I was angry and bitter." She threw another rock in the lake. "With an attitude like that, you should be in Slytherin."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris rolled her eyes, "I wouldn't be bitter or angry if I hadn't been forced to live with someone I barely new." She paused still glaring at the lake then added, "I doubt even my father loves me."

[Justine Torrance]

Justine looked at her. "Well, even if he doesn't, the important thing is that you like yourself, right? Not that I'm one to talk or anything... I don't like myself, either. But if you like yourself, then stand up for yourself. Or whatever." She had run out of rocks to throw into the water, so she picked up a stick and threw it.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris stared at the water, "I just want to be with them again, but if I can't I might as well just give up...and forget about...or try to forget about them." She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.

[Justine Torrance]

"If that's what you want, you shouldn't give up. I know one of these days I'm gonna find out what happened to my family. You should keep fighting for yours." Justine shrugged boredly.

[Kris Lupin]

"I probably wont get to...I'd get hurt if I did. I understand why I had to leave...well at first I didn't but I do now. I always felt like I needed to keep my brother safe." Kris stared at the water wishing she could change the past.

[Justine Torrance]

"Well, you never know, I guess. Things might work out, and they might not. But you shouldn't sit here and moan about it. At least, not forever." Justine leaned back and looked up at the dead tree branches. "Don't you have any friends or anything? You know, someone you can talk to other than me? I mean, I'm a complete loser with nothing to offer to anyone, but even I have a few friends."

[Kris Lupin]

"Not really, I've been stuck in my thoughts. I figured my brother would be going here so I've was trying to think of a way to say I was his sister. If I had known it would have turned bad I wouldn't have been trying."

[Justine Torrance]

"Well, I know if someone came up to me and said I was their sister, I'd be happy," Justine said. "But then, I've been living in a Muggle orphanage all my life. But your brother... he was with your father, right? He had his own life, and it had to be weird to hear it wasn't what he thought. Why were you separated from him again? Why would you need protection from him?"
