The Effects of a Crush (Rori)

[Landon Travis]

Landon walked up to the lake and sat down at the edge of it, deep in thought. He had just told Chloe how he had liked her and everything and had been faced with the reality of the fact that she didn't feel the same way and that he was too young for her. He understood what she had told him, but didn't really know what to think. They were only friends, but he didn't know if that was the only way he felt about her. He figured he would just have to get over it.

[Rori Logan]

Rori hadn't see Remus yet, so she didn't get a chance to talk to him. She walked out by the lake, hoping she'd find Remus, but instead, she found Landon. "Hey Landon," she said walking up beside him and sitting down. She noticed the look on his face. "What's wrong?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon looked up quickly to find Rori walking over to him, "Oh, hey." He replied, in a depressed tone. "I talked to Chloe earlier. I told her about everything. She just said that she didn't feel that way about me and that I was too young, but that we could still be friends." He said, shrugging for no reason.

[Rori Logan]

"Oh," said Rori. "Well, you've got to cheer up, I mean at least she didn't laugh at you or something, like some girls could have. AND she said you were still friends, so that's a plus."

[Landon Travis]

"Yeah, I suppose your right." Landon said. "I don't know what I was thinking though. I'm not sure how I ever believed that she might feel the same way." He was still feeling kind of depressed and didn't really know what to do or think. "Was I really acting that stupid?" He asked her.

[Rori Logan]

"Well, you could tell you were goo-goo eyes over her, so to a certain extent, you were," said Rori honestly. "But, don't feel bad okay? You'll find someone else sometime in your life, so don't look so depressed, because you'll make me feel depressed."

[Landon Travis]

Landon made a sort of smile, "Okay. You're right. I just need to move on." He looked up at her, "And I'm sorry if I talked a lot about her or acted really stupid around you... It was just a phase, I guess. So...do you know of anything that might take my mind off of it for the moment?" He asked, wanting to do something besides sit around.

[Rori Logan]

"Don't worry about it Landon, people act stupid sometime or another in their lifes," said Rori with a shrug. "Well, maybe about this game that I haven't played in awhile," she said grinning and standing up. Rori touched Landon's shoulder. "You're it," she said with a laugh and started to run off.

[Landon Travis]

Landon immediately started laughing as she ran off. He shook his head while he grinned and got up off of the ground. He ran after her, going all around the grounds until he finally caught up with her, completely out of breath. He tapped her on the shoulder in return and stood still to catch his breath. "Well, you're a lot faster than I thought you were." He grinned. "And let me tell you, running in dark robes is not something I like to do very often." He added, still laughing a bit.

[Rori Logan]

Rori stood still as Landon tapped her shoulder. She laughed as she was catching her breath. "Eh, I'm not that fast of a runner. And what could help you is if you take off your robe jacket, and leave on your school shirt," she said with a grin. "Well, since you're just standing there, and I'm it.....," Rori said with another grin and put her hand on his shoulder. "You're it again mate," she said with laughter and started to run again.

[Landon Travis]

Landon laughed again, "Dang it..." He said before chasing after her once again. This time he caught up with her earlier and tapped her on the shoulder again, before running back the way he had come from. He quickly climbed up a short tree, struggling on a few of the branches.

[Rori Logan]

Rori laughed and ran after Landon. When she reached the tree, she looked up and smiled. "Nice Mr. Travis." Rori started to climb as well, and just sat on one of the branches. "I'm having a little bit of fun, what about you?"

[Landon Travis]

"Yeah, this is cool." Landon grinned at her. He leaned back against one of the long tree branches and looked out at the lake. "Nice view from here..." He commented. "So how's your family doing? Voltaire and Isabella and them..." He asked her, still looking out at the lake.

[Rori Logan]

"They are doing okay. You know Isabella is close to having her baby and Voltaire is just being Voltaire," said Rori simply. "Voltaire gave me a dove that he had had from the wedding, so I have that now."

[Landon Travis]

Landon chuckled a bit at the randomness of having a pet dove. "That's cool." He replied, simply. He thought about what Chloe had told him earlier about the werewolves. After shaking the thought of Chloe out of his head and reminding himself that he was trying to keep his mind off of her, he turned back to Rori and looked at her curiously. "Hey...by the way...you haven't heard anything about something happening in Diagon Alley soon, have you? Involving Chloe...and maybe other werewolves?" He asked.

[Rori Logan]

"A werewolf attack? Well, I've heard that there is a girl with brown hair in the hospital wing that is to old to come to Hogwarts, so I'm guessing she's a werewolf. Other than that, I haven't heard about anything. Don't worry Landon, I'm sure she's okay," said Rori knowing that he was thinking about Chloe again. At that moment Rori told herself that Landon would never end up liking her like she liked him, and she was going to stop trying to make it obvious to him. It was time for her to stop trying to tell him, she decided. Rori grew quiet for a few moments. "I'm guessing you want me to find out? I'll go see if I can't find Remus and see if he knows anything," said Rori breaking the slience. She jumped out of the tree and felt a tingling sensation in her feet as she landed on her feet. Rori held her head down as she started walking off towards the school.

[Landon Travis]

"Wait...Rori..." Landon called after her, jumping down from the tree. Sure, he'd like to know what Chloe was up to, but he hadn't wanted Rori to leave. "Rori!" He called after her again, but she was long gone. He suddenly realized how much he seemed to be impacting her with the whole deal with Chloe. He decided that he had to make a decision between lingering with Chloe, who he would never have a chance with, or moving on and getting back his friendship with Rori. He walked up to the castle, heading towards his common room to think.

Rori heard Landon calling her name, so she sped up a little and ran on into the school, looking for Remus.
