Going to the club was something Brad was becoming accustom to. Belmont, Alabama sure didn't have any type of clubs like this. The only thing that would be considered any kind of hang out was the local bar or one of the fields.
He was still getting used to the whole British thing even though he had been living there for a little over a year. Just watching the people around him was interesting. They way they carried themselves and their body language. There was always something new Brad could find out by just observing.
Dressed in jeans, boots, and a simple black button up shirt, Brad walked into SpellBound. The place seemed to be getting a little busy but it wasn't going to stop him from going in and getting a drink. He could have just hit a bar to get a drink but here he could observe and not really worry about too many drunks with bad attitudes.
Once he received his drink, Brad took a seat at an empty table where he would be able to see the people around him.

Ariel didn't know why she was going to Spellbound, her feet led her there. She had been busy lately, trying to keep up ties with her mother after moving out, and above all, Ariel was tired of looking for a job. She only just began searching, but it was a process she hated nonetheless. She decided a drink wouldn't be so bad, and she might find someone to talk to.
She walked into Spellbound, and went right up to the bar, ignoring the stares she was getting from the other customers. She had been single since her final year at Hogwarts, so she thought dressing a little flirty wouldn't be so bad. She decided on wearing a low-cut red dress that stopped at her knees; it wasn't anything she hadn't worn out before. She was lonely, anyway, and thought having a boyfriend would help pass the time, not to mention she'd have someone to talk to. Her other friends were too busy with their lives now to spare much time for her.
She ordered a drink, and when it was served to her, she decided to sit at the bar, and looked around. She didn't think she knew anyone there, and there weren't any tables open, except one. She got up and walked over to where one man was sitting, all alone. "Hey," she said, smiling sweetly. "Mind if I sit here?"

People were slowly filing into the club and Brad was still off by himself. It wasn't that bad. After all, he had time to himself, he was able to be amused by people, and have his drink. Brad sat relaxed in his chair, that was until a woman approached him. He wasn't expecting anyone to come up to him.
Looking at her, he raised his eyebrows. Yet had he seen a girl dressed like that, well, a girl that was dressed like that wasn't all over some guy. However, when he looked at her, she didn't seem that type. Brad sat up a little straighter and motioned to the empty chair. "Hey," he said in greeting. "Naw, I don't mind. Go ahead."

Ariel smiled and sat down. She liked his accent, is was different than the others here, although because she had never been outside of England, she couldn't place it. She didn't watch many movies, either, so that didn't help. "Thanks. It gets too croweded in here to be at the bar, huh?" She asked, crossing her legs but being careful not to let the dress fly up while she was doing it. "I'm Ariel, by the way. Ariel Porter." She said, putting her hand out.

"Somethin' like that," he said placing his glass on the table. Brad didn't care to much for staying at the bar if he was at a club. There were a lot of people that came up and bumping into people happened. If the person was drunk enough, well that could lead to a fight. He knew about that from first hand experience.
"Nice ter meet you Ariel." He put on a smile and extended his hand to shake hers. "I'm Brad."

Ariel smiled as she let his hand drop. She wrapped her hands around her drink and laced her fingers together, looking around the bar before returning her gaze to Brad.
"You're not from London, are you Brad?" She asked. "It's your accent...it's different than everyone else's." She said, and took a sip of her drink. She tuned everyone else out as best she could; she wanted to listen to Brad and what he had to say. She didn't want distractions.

Brad thought that she might have been looking for someone as she gazed toward the bar but when looked back toward him, he could see that she wasn't antsy for someone to come in. Heaven forbid that she be some other guy's girlfriend and the guy come in demanding the reason Brad was talking to her.
"Naw, I ain't from here," he said casually. "I'm from Belmont, Alabama." Brad smiled. "It's a lot different here than it is back home, that's fer sure."

"That's in the United States, right? I've never been outside of England before." Ariel said, and finished her drink before continuing. She was interested in what he had to say, to learn about new places she's never even heard of before.
"So what's it like?" She asked.

He let out a chuckle as she asked if Alabama was in the United States. "Yeah, it's in the U.S. It's in the southern part." If he hadn't moved to England when he did, he probably wouldn't have ever left the United States. He loved back home, but it wasn't near as exciting as life in England. Besides, he figured that he had a better job here.
"Well, it ain't nothin' like this, that's fer sure. We have trees everywhere and you pretty much hafta drive wherever you wanna go. America doesn't have that wizardin' places. It's more of a blend in with the muggles, but then again that was just around the place I lived. We only had a handful of wizards that even lived in Belmont since it's just a small town."

Ariel smiled the entire time he told her about where he was from. She made a mental note to have it be the first place she'd visit when she finally decided to leave England. It wasn't that she didn't want to leave, she just didn't know anywhere to go.
"So, wait, you mean you can't use your broom or apparate anywhere in America?" She asked. She was shocked that America wasn't a magical place, like she had always thought. Then again, her mother wasn't open with her about anywhere outside of England.

"Yeah, you can ride yer broom and apparate in America, you just have to know where exactly you can go. It's a lot like here. Where I'm from it's a lot more muggles there so you gotta watch out what you do." Brad gave a shrug. "If you go to the bigger cities, there is more of a wizardin' population but I never really went up north. I did go to the magic school in America, but then I was er, transferred over to Durmstrang." Brad figured that transferred would be an alright term for right now. Whenever he was at the school in America, he pretty much got kicked out but Brad always claimed it was someone else's fault rather than his own.

Ariel didn't know what to say. She was a little too surprized about what Brad had just told her. America now seemed like a place Ariel would be a little scared to go to, although she'd never admit that. She was scared that she wouldn't be able to get anywhere, only knowing how to fly and apparate.
She was about to say something when someone started yelling, causing more people to yell back. "Do you want to get out of here? It's a little too loud to talk now." She said, sending a glare in the direction of the person who yelled.
