Katheryn walked in through her family's front door and set her things down on the sofa. She took off her coat and hung it up. She went into the kitchen to begin cooking dinner for whoever came home tonight. She got some pasta together and threw it in the oven to cook. She began mixing some cookie dough while the pasta cooked. Honestly, she never quit cooking or baking. When she had nothing to do, she would bake. She figured no one minded because her family seemed to love her cooking. She turned around and smiled as the front door opened.

Kole let himself in. It seemed more and more often, he'd spend more time sleeping at hime in Hogsmeade than in his own apartment. But to be honest, he liked the smell of his sister's baking first thing in the morning before he had to head out for work.
He smiled at Kat as he walked in the door. "Hey there," Kole said, walking to the kitchen and giving his sister a hug. "What'cha doing?" he asked his practacally trademarked question. Then he quickly stuck a finger in the cookie dough and ate the bit he picked up, a wicked grin on his face.

Kat grinned at him and returned the hug. She loved her older brother and they'd always gotten along so well. She swatted his arm with a wooden spoon for dipping into her cookie dough. "I WAS baking cookies for everyone, but now you're not allowed to have any." She said and stuck her tongue out at him. She began putting the dough onto a pan.
"What are you up to?" She asked curiously. She was always curious about his work.

"Aw, Come on Kat..." Kole play-whined. "I only took a little." He smiled at her sweetly.
"And I just got off work, and thought I'd come over for Dinner," Kole said. He grabbed a chair and took a seat. "Speaking of which, can I help you with Dinner?" he asked. Kole rocked in the chair a bit, still eating the raw dough off his finger. "How was work?" he asked.

Katheryn chuckled. "Fine. You can have ONE." She rolled her eyes at him. "Sweet heart, I'd already finished dinner. It's just cooking in the oven right now. You could butter some bread and throw some garlic on it if you want." She said and tossed the French bread on the table in front of him.
"Work was ok. We had a little bit of a rush this morning when we first pulled out the really fudgey brownies out of the oven. It was a little chilly this morning and they were all over the hot brownies." She said with a smile. "Kimmie made some really good hot cocoa that the customers liked." She threw in, hoping she wouldn't get a smart comment from Kole.

"Did you save me one?" Kole asked. He made a mental note to work out more. Having two sisters that owned a bakery, and then baked often when they were home, would definatly add on pleanty of pounds if he didn't start to keep better care of himself.
Kole silently rolled his eyes at the name of his other older sister Kimberly. The two never quite got along, but he knew that upsetted Kat, so he said nothing and began to make the garlic bread for her.

Katheryn knew that he wouldn't like her mentioning Kimberley so she dropped the subject of their sister. She checked the pasta and then when back to the cookie dough.
"So, how was you're day at work Kole? Anything interesting happen in the life of an Auror?" She asked, sincerely interested. Her brother and father's work with the ministry facinated her. But she always seemed to be better at cooking, taking that skill from their mother, so she stuck with that.

Kole finnished the garlic bread and placed it next to the oven so that it could be put in whenever Kat was ready.
"Honestly, I don't do much at work Kat," Kole sighed. "The excitement sort of died down a bit since Roland came back from the dead... Now us newbies are back to doing paperwork." Kole shrugged.

Katheryn gave her brother a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry. I'm not sure if that's a good thing that you don't have much work to do or if I should hope things pick up." She gave a light chuckle. She put the cookies into the second oven they had in the kitchen and pulled out the pasta. She put the bread in to cook while the pasta cooled.
"Well, maybe if you're nice I'll come visit you and the other 'newbies' with a fresh batch of sweets. How would you like that?" She offered, setting the pasta on the table.

Kimberley sighed, walking up to the front doors of her house. It had been a tiring day at the bakery, and all she wanted know was to go home and relax, without making anything. She had her sister for that.
She let herself in, it being her house, and threw her stuff on the couch, next to Katheryn's. She heard a male voice in the kitchen, and scowled, knowing who it was. "I'll be upstairs, Kat. I'll eat later." She said, not wanting any drama to start between her and her brother. She was too tired for that to start now.

Katheryn, who had wanted her siblings together, scowled. "NO, Kimmie, come down and it before it gets cold please?" She pleaded, hoping the two of them could be civilized. Honestly, she couldn't understand why the two couldn't get along like...well, she figured a lot of siblings don't usually get along but really? They were adults.

Kole laughed. "I guess it's a good thing, but the paperwork I have to do is no fun," Kole said. He took the pasta and placed it on the table. "And maybe you should drop by, it'd be the highlight of my day," he laughed.
He heard the door open and knew all too well who it was, but for Kat, he kept his lips closed, mostly. "I'll be good if she is," Kole whispered to her.

"Aww, I feel so loved. Maybe I'll stop by tomorrow. I need to take a day off anyways." She said and winked. She frowned at his next words.
"Just please behave." She added, sounding more like their mother. She hated that quality of hers. She always sounded and acted like their mother. It made her feel old.

Kimberley drug herself into the kitchen. She didn't want to be anywhere near her brother, but unfortunately, she had to be. "I'm only doing this for you, Kat." She said, and tried to smile at Kole. "Hello, how was your day?" She said, looking away. She wasn't interested in it, but thought she might as well ask. It was better than starting to argue right away.

Kole sighed internally but for Kat's sake, smiled at his other sister. "Hey Kimmie," he said. "Work was fine, bit boring, I was just telling Kat about it." Kole said. He went to a drawer and pulled out place settings for the table.
"How was the bakery?" Kole asked.

Kimberley nodded, half listening. "Yeah, it's fine. Kind of slow some days, and hectic most." She replied, and sat at the kitchen table. "Go on, don't let me interrupt your story." She added, waving her hand towards Kole and Kat.

"Actually, I had just finished," Kole said. "Just talking about how there's not much to do at work right now. Just paperwork and training sessions..." He wasn't sure how Kimberley felt about his being an Auror, they never talked about it. Well, really, they made it a point not to talk at all. Kole didn't know why he only got along with one of the twins...he just did.
"Food looks great Kath," Kole said suddenly, hoping that she would speak up so that either he or Kim didn't have to.

Katheryn popped up. "Oh yeah! Food's ready!" She said, realizing she should have been getting it set on the table. She rushed back to the oven and pulled out the bread. It had burned on the edges and that made her frown. She liked to perfect her dishes as much as she possibly could. She hated being careless. She cut it quickly and set it on the table.
"I don't think Mum and Dad will be joining us tonight. Mum's upstairs laying down and Dad's working late....again." She said, quickly setting the table. She was always bustling around doing little things to make dinner and get everything ready. When she was relaxing, she was usually thinking about doing something.

"That's alright with me," Kole said as Kat placed dinner out for them. "I could do with a night without Mum's nagging at me," he chuckled and grabbed a piece of garlic bread and put it on his place.
"Kole, sweetie, I just ran into Mrs. Salvador the other day, and you know...her daughter Silvia is about the same age as you and VERY pretty might I say..." Kole quietly imatated what had become a common convorsation with his mother. He chuckled though, he knew his mother was only looking out for him.
"Kat, quit fussing and join us," Kole said with a smile once Kat had everything on the table.
