Visiting Herbert *Rori*

[Severus Snape]

Severus snuck out of Hogwarts just as the sun was beginning to set with a small stack of toast and two apples wrapped in a large napkin. He didn't know why, but he felt he had to just get out of the dungeons and the common room. He walked to his favorite spot and sat down and then caught his breath. It was a nice evening.

[Rori Logan]

Rori was sitting in the tree whenever she noticed Severus coming down to the lake. She jumped down from the tree, and almost lost her balance from landing on her feet, and she got a little tingling in her feet, but she ingored it. Rori walked over to Severus and plopped down beside him. "How's it going Sev?"

[Severus Snape]

"Oh hey Rori! want some toast?" he said offering her a slice as he stuck on in his mouth and quickly flung a toast into the lake as it made a 'plunck' sound in the lake. "I'm alright." he said thinking about telling her about his newest potion.
"How are you?" he asked.

[Rori Logan]

"I'm good," said Rori giving him a grin. She looked at the lake where Severus had just thrown in the piece of toast and saw a large tentale reach up and grab it. "I think Herbert was hungry," she said with a laugh, "and I don't mind if I do." Rori took a piece of toast and took a bite out of it. "So how's life treating you since we last spoke?"

[Severus Snape]

"Its' been alright...I think i managed to duck out of transfiguration...I couldn't believe the score I got on that lousy test! he actually sent it back so I could write more on it!" he said angerily. he hated that class. "I've tinkered with a few more potions after hours...I don't know if they are any good yet." he said grazing his favorite subject.

[Rori Logan]

Rori took another bite of her toast. "Eh, transfiguration. Not one of my favorite classes. But anyway, what kind of potions are you working on?"

[Severus Snape]

"Oh just a few...There is one that I found that was patented by your Uncle Father, it grows batwings or something out of someones face! I thought that was pretty disgusting." he said making a face "But it sounded like a joke gone wrong to me!" he said flinging another toast to Herbert.

[Rori Logan]

Rori laughed. "A potion that grows batwings out of someone's face? Sounds like something that Malfoy deserves," Rori quickly covered her mouth. "I didn't just say that. Please, lets just pretend that I didn't just say what I just said, okay?"

[Severus Snape]

Severus looked for a moment surprised, but he started to laugh and he said "It's probably what he deserves! He's so snotty... he almost acts like a girl... he spends lot of time on his hair!" said Severus snorting. He offered Rori an apple and then said.
"It's OK Rori. "

[Rori Logan]

Rori giggled. "Thanks Sev," she said taking the apple from him. "He does think alot of his hair," she giggled again. "Let me stop before I say something I shouldn't," said Rori taking a bite out of the apple. "Anyway, have you made any new potions or anything," she asked attempting to change the subject.

[Severus Snape]

"Not really, just toying with some idea's " He said thinking of the variations he was writing down in the margins of his potion's text. "I've been thinking of some spells actually! like if you take the second part of Wingarium leviosa and couple it the second part of moblis corpus, what reaction will you get?" he said excitedly "Oh and do you know about none verbal spells? do you think you can take those variations and make it completely nonverbal?"

[Rori Logan]

Rori shrugged. "I have no idea about the first question," she said. "I have heard of the nonverbal spells and such, but I know it takes a lot of concentration and stuff, and you could possibly do that. You know, everything is possible."

[Severus Snape]

"Really? maybe it is... Maybe I should try it on Potter, I wonder what will happen when I spell him to "levi corpus" maybe he'll float away with his great git head." he said with a chuckle.

[Rori Logan]

Rori giggled a little. "It would be funny, but James is one of my friends, so I shouldn't really be laughing," said Rori. "Although, I'm not going to hold that comment against you," she added with a grin. She finished off her apple and tossed it into the lake, only to see another tentacle grab it. "We're spoiling Herbert," she said with a laugh.

[Severus Snape]

"I like spoiling Herbert, If i ever end up in the lake, Herbert will know it's me." Severus said chuckling. the eveing was grew a bit darker, and Severus added "I'm happy Rori...I don't think i've ever been this happy." he said seriously.

[Rori Logan]

"That's true," Rori said with a giggle. She smiled at Severus. "I'm glad your happy," she said leaning over and giving him a hug. "I hope you do stay happy."

[Severus Snape]

Severus flushed and said "I'm glad you're my friend, You're the first real friend I've ever had." he looked at the waxing moon as it rose and said "Do you promise to always be my friend?" he felt like he needed to know.

[Rori Logan]

"Yes Sev, I promise," said Rori. "Why wouldn't I want to be your friend? It's not like you've done anything to hurt me."

[Severus Snape]

"No, I'd never do anything to hurt you...but, my house doesn't exactly like that I have friends outside the house." He said folding his hands together in his lap. "I wouldn't mean it if i did have to do anything." he said seriously.

[Rori Logan]

"I understand," said Rori. "I don't really understand why they strongly dislike people outside of their own house, but don't worry about it Sev. You're different, and I think that's why I like you," she added with a smile.
