If you want a particular job for your character, you can sign up here. Here is a listing of available jobs.
Auror Magical Law Enforcement officer Ministry worker (any department) Healer/Hospital Employee Shop Owner/worker Bartender Reporter Teachers (currently not needed) Wizard mobsters (contact Marcello Santino or Niccollo Rossi) Dark Creature catchers (vampire slayers, werewolf hunters, etc.) Bank employees (ie, curse breakers)
Please note! I really need reporters. Paige Owen is the only active reporter right now.
(If I think of more, I'll add them)

Jay could be either a healer or a reporter, whichever is needed more at this moment!

Either one is good. We have fewer reporters at the moment, though... Oh, and Marina! I totally didn't see your post in here... you can be a reporter, too.

Are there any jobs needed dealing with Dark Arts or something like that? I had in mind Luke going down that path, and he needs something to do with his life. lol

We have a shop in Hogsmeade called Randolph Trades, which dealt in mostly Dark Arts materials and objects. The owner, Nathan Randolph, is a Death Eater who is on the run from... pretty much everyone, but it might be interesting to re-open it somehow.

I'm looking for something not too pathetic, but just pedestrian enough to be moderately embarrassing for Lyra. If you have any other suggestions, I would love the input.

Well, I imagine barmaid or waitress would be too much of an indignity for Lyra... that's generally the easiest job in those areas, and they tend to get a lot of traffic, which would lead to a lot of posting possibilities. However, I'm sure she could work at any of the book shops or other stores, too. Just take a look around, and if you see anything that seems appealing, I'm sure we could get her set up there.

I do want to be able to be part of the action more often, so maybe waitressing at the three broomsticks could do the trick. Would that work?
Also, could Lyra get a flat at the Black Cat complex?
