Myrtle was in her 's' bend thinking on how unfair life was, while everyone else was at a ball, she was dead! she couldn't even change into a pretty dress like everyone else. All because she was dead. Being dead in interesting times has to be a curse!

Teagan had went into the bathroom to get away from everyone. Being a First Year, she had obviously been told about Myrtle, the ghost that haunted the bathroom. It didn't bother her, really, she just wanted a place to be by herself.
She sat down on the floor near the opening to the stall cubicles and pulled out her potions book, sighing in delight as she opened it.

Myrtle heard a distinct sigh of delight, the sound pricked at her ears as if a pin pricked them. She drifted from out of her usual loo and stuck her head through the wall of the adjoining stall.
"what's to be so content about?" It sounded far more cantankerous than usual but she had been thinking of how miserable it was to be dead.

Teagan blinked in surprise as a head popped out of the door of a stall.... No, rather, through the door. So, this was Moaning Myrtle. She flinched slightly at her words and responded as gently as she could.
"Well, I've been looking for a place to be alone. It's quite hard to find somewhere quiet to study. I'm sorry if I'm desturbing you. I could leave if you want," she said, beginning to gather up her things.

Myrtle's face crumpled, she wailed "Oh! No one ever wants to visit with me!" She popped back through the door and 'stood' floating with her back turned to stall door. Heaving a few sobs she began to reiterate her old complaints against her former peers.

Teagan listened with pity marring her features. It was so sad to hear the ghost girl's pathetic moaning. She couldn't understand why everyone disliked the girl. To her, it seemed as if she had been mistreated her whole life. So sad..
"Oh, don't worry, I won't leave if you don't want me to... I just thought you didn't want company," she said softly.

Sniffling her non existant tears Myrtle responded, "I've got forever to be alone if I wanted." She thought of the Baron and the Rumors about him, she made up her mind after she was confined to Hogwarts, that if she couldn't torment her tormentors, then she wouldn't have anything to do with characters like the Baron...or peeves for that matter.
"Why would you want to be alone? All the hubbub, the rumors the exciting things happening? Wouldn't you want to keep an ear out for it?" She was actually curious, and it felt like something like excitement at the chance of talking to a new person.

Teagan blinked and mulled that over. Yes, she supposed that the ghost girl would have forever. It was bound to be a very lonely existance especially if she acted like she had just minutes before. She thought very carefully before replying, not wanting her to be upset.
"I like to be alone to think clearer. It's very easy to get caught up in all the excitement but after all while it just gets a bit annoying and then you want to be away from it all. Although, it is good to every so often stick around," she admitted quietly.
