Ariana stood just outside of the St. Mungo's Hospital. She took a deep breath and tried to steady the fast growing butterflies in her stomach. She closed her eyes and tried to focus her mind. This was her first day on the new job, she couldn't screw it up now that she had finally gotten here. With one last look around her, she strode straight through the double glass doors.
Ariana immediately wished she had waited another five minutes. She did have the time. She got there thirty minutes early on purpose. She shoved some of her hair behind her ears and walked to the receptionist's desk.
"Excuse me? Do you mind-" she was cut off mid-sentence because paper airplanes suddenly zoomed off an elevator and straight at the receptionist, who rolled her eyes and held up an impatient finger. Ariana sighed and looked around. Surely there was someone else that worked here besides this one old woman.

Luckily for Ariana, shifts were changing, and she usually arrived early for her own shift as well. When she saw the older woman busy, she just smiled at Ariana.
"Sorry," she said. "Things tend to get busy around shift changes. I can help you, though." She was the main reception witch on staff anyway, though it was probably only that way because of how head over heels she was for one of the doctors. She was usually pretty willing to stay late when he was working.

Ariana smiled at the younger woman without showing her teeth, a sure sign that she was far from irritated. It took everything she had not to whip out her wand and hex the old hag that had failed to help her into oblivion. She straightened out her blouse and watched the old woman leave the building, silently wishing that she had pushed her buttons. She turned back to the new girl and eyed her. Ariana was expecting any minute for a paper plane to come peg the girl in the forehead.
"I'm the new healer on staff. I just need to know where and what I'm supposed to be doing. They weren't very specific in their letter." She stated, holding up a rolled piece of parchment that contained all her personal information and her job confirmation. She slid it to the girl, not really knowing if she needed it or not.
