I've been meaning to put this up for a while now....
1. The C-box is mainly used to greet other players. While we do use it to iron out details of threads or mini-plots, it may not be used to harass other players.
2. Threats and insults are generally not allowed in the C-box; bear in mind, there is a difference between banter between players and/or characters, and insulting someone.
3. There will be times when threads get "buried." It is acceptable to ask a moderator to "Bump" the thread back to the top or politely ask the other player for an update. You may also request that further posts be delayed until you've had enough time to post a response to a current thread's situation.
4. Sending out several "Posted!" notices are both tiresome and unhelpful, as the thread on its own will show that it has been updated. It is acceptable to ask if you are needed in a thread or threads, but not in access of more than twice in a two hour period.
5. Abuse of the C-box entails: insults, constant requests to update threads, posting several links to other websites without some hint as to what the link is in reference to, and negative complaints without real or substantial evidence of: offense, lack of attention, or personal issues.
6. Many issues can be dealt with in Private Messages (PMs) or if needed Private Messages Between a Site Staff and another player. You may also use the C-box to inform a player of a PM to their account, but doing so repeatedly will be considered abuse of the C-box. There is also an Owl Office forum which may be used to inform players of PMs to their accounts.
7. Warnings may be issued to players who abuse the C-box or insult/harass other players.
8. Web site staff has the ability to edit posts in the C-box as well as thread posts and will do so when appropriate.
