Wandering like always

[Rori Logan]

Rori walked out by the lake that evening, like she did everyday. She loved to watch the sunsets and she had about an hour and a half before the sun went down. Rori continued walking slowly along the edge of the lake.

[Landon Travis]

Landon walked up to the lake where a girl was walking. He walked up to her, looking out to the sunset. "Beautiful sunset." He commented. "I'm Landon Travis. I'm kinda new here."

[Rori Logan]

Rori looked back and looked at a boy standing there. "Yeah, it is. They always are by the lake. The sunsets are more beautiful if you're on a broom and out by the window to the room of requirement." said Rori. "Yeah, I sort of noticed that you're sort of new here." she said grinning. "Nice to meet you Landon. I'm Rori Logan, second year Ravenclaw."

[Landon Travis]

Landon nodded, "Nice to meet you too." He looked back out at the lake, "So...any thing about Hogwarts I need to know before I start classes? Restaraunt suggestions? Anything?" He joked.

[Rori Logan]

Rori laughed. "Um, no. Except for the dueling professor is my cousin and my adopted father. Yeah, don't been scared by him or anything. Just a heads up. Take his class anyway, it's loads of fun."

[Landon Travis]

"Sounds cool." Landon replied. "I'll check it out." He walked up to the lake, sat down, and let his legs dangle in the water. It was surprising cold.

[Rori Logan]

"Yeah. And if he asks, no I did not force you to take the class." said Rori taking a seat next to Landon. "Um, the only Slytherins that are worth talking to are Severus and Justine. Although Justine doesn't talk much, she's still pretty nice. Everyone else, in Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw are pretty cool and easy to get along with. You'll probably meet my cousin Anna, she's a first year Ravenclaw soon. She a crazy one, let me tell you."

[Landon Travis]

Landon laughed, "Thanks. I feel good to know in advance. I'll put the mental asylum on Floo Network Speed Dial." He joked.

[Rori Logan]

Rori laughed. "Yeah, in potions, I won't sit next to her. Sometimes her potions tend to explode." she said shrugging.

[Landon Travis]

"Yeah, they tend to explode. I wonder how that happens." Landon grinned. "So, anyways, you're a second year, you've been here for a year so far, how do you like it?"

[Rori Logan]

"Actually this is my first year. My mother and I moved all over the world and finally she decided to send me to Hogwarts." said Rori. "Well let's see. Hogwarts is pretty cool. So far, I've made a whole bunch of friends, found out my mother has died, found out my cousin Anna's parents died, got a boyfriend, going to be adopted by Voltaire and Isabelle. You'll know Isabelle by Professor Rothschild."

[Landon Travis]

"Wow....interesting year for you. Sorry about your mom." Landon replied. "Well, at least Professor Rothschild and Skipit are adopting you. That'll be good." He looked down at the water, thoughtfully.

[Rori Logan]

"Yeah well, don't be sorry. She wasn't really a mother anyway." said Rori shrugging. "Yeah, it is good that I'm being adopted and so is Anna. We'll have a family again." she said smiling. "So anyway, what about you?"

[Landon Travis]

"Eh...nothing much. Both my parents are still intact. My life hasn't been anything out of the normal really. But that's the way I like it. Not too much excitement...but not too little." Landon shrugged.

[Rori Logan]

Rori grinned. "Well, that sounds interesting. Seriously. Oh by the way, do you like swimming?" said Rori smiling.

[Landon Travis]

Landon looked strangely back at her, "Yeah. Why do you want to know?"

[Rori Logan]

Rori smiled. "Just wondering. No special reason." she said shrugging. "Actually I was wondering wither I should push you in or not, but I'm not going to be that mean." she said smiling.

[Landon Travis]

"Well, I'm glad, because that means I would've had to pull you in too." Landon grinned. "But I am glad that my first friend thinks so highly of me that she'd want to push me into the water." He said, sarcastically, laughing.

[Rori Logan]

Rori grinned. "Maybe I would want to go swimming," she said laughing. "I feel honored that I'm your first friend. And, I may just push you in the water, cause there's nothing else fun going on." Rori said shrugging. Rori pulled off her robes, leaving her in muggle clothing, jeans and a t-shirt. She reached over and attempted to push Landon in the water.

[Landon Travis]

"Nuh-uh." Landon grinned. He caught his balance at the edge of the lake and held onto her to her arm so he wouldn't fall in. He pulled her around his left side. Right before he was about to push her in, he lost his balance and fell off the edge of the grass. Landon fell backwards into the water, pulling Rori with him.
