Sitting in the Tree

[Natalie St. Clare]

Natalie sat up in the big tree by the lake. She loved the view it gave her of the water, and the grounds, and the castle. She felt like she could see everything that was going on around her, and she liked being able to be part of the grounds. She never liked to stand out or really be seen at all.

She was already coming to love Hogwarts, but she was frustrated by the fact that she was still too young to go here. She needed something to do with her time. Some place to be that was her own. That was why she loved the trees. Somehow when she was up there she could feel like she was part of nature. Like she belonged.

She knew Uncle Alastor was doing his best to take care of her, but she also knew that he had no idea how to handle her. He loved her, she knew... she could sense how deeply he cared for her. But he was also afraid of her and her abilities. And rightly so, she thought, because she was afraid of them, too.

She still felt so sorry about what had happened to Lucie and her friends in town. She felt like she should have been able to see that before it happened. She should have been able to prevent it. What good was it to see the future when you couldn't prevent it? And why did she need to know what other people's secrets were? What their emotions were? What good did any of it do?

She leaned her head against the tree branch and looked out over the lake. It was so peaceful, so soothing. If only she could always have this kind of peace.

[Rori Logan]

Rori walked out by the lake, not noticing anyone there. She felt like she needed fresh air or something since she was feeling light-headed. Rori just walked slowly around the lake taking in the fresh air. The fresh air wasn't helping at all. Rori's legs started to feel weak and everything started to spin. Soon everything went black and she fell to the ground, then the nightmares started again, and Rori couldn't escape it this time...........

Natalie saw the girl come out to the tree and collapse. Immediately she climbed down from the tree and knelt down by her side. "Hello?" she said. "Are you OK? Wake up!" She put her hand on Rori's shoulder and began to see some horrifying images going through her mind. At first, she wasn't sure if she was seeing the past or the future... but it filled her with such fear and dread that she let out a loud scream.

[Remus Lupin]

Remus walked out of the castle, planning to head toward the lake, when he heard a horrible, high-pitched scream. He ran toward the direction of the scream, looking ahead of him as he went. Being a werewolf, his senses were very strong and he could see pretty far ahead. Over by the tree he saw someone lying on the ground and another person--a girl--kneeling over her. She was the one who was screaming. As he ran closer, she screamed again. "I'm coming!" he cried, hoping it would calm the girl down. She just screamed louder, as though she was in horrible pain. He ran as fast as he could and finally reached the two girls, panting heavily. He recognized that the girl who had been screaming was Sabrina's sister, Natalie. The other one was Rori. "What happened?" he gasped, "is she OK?"

But Natalie seemed to be in some kind of trance. She just kept saying over and over, "no, don't kill them, please, don't kill them... NOO!!!!!"

Gently, Remus pushed Natalie aside and she fell down on the grass limply. Then he checked Rori. He couldn't see anything physically wrong with her... her breathing and her heart rate were both very fast, but other than that and the fact that she was whispering the same thing as Natalie, she seemed to be unhurt. He turned back to Natalie, who was now sitting up and breathing heavily. "What happened. Are you OK? What happened to Rori?"

[Natalie St. Clare]

Natalie was shaking wildly. "She came out here and just... collapsed. I think she's having a nightmare or something... She needs help. Go find someone, please..."

[Remus Lupin]

"OK," Remus said. "I'll go and get help. You stay here with her, OK? I'll be right back." He turned and ran back toward the castle as fast as he could.

[Voltaire Rothschild]

Voltaire was outside, Getting some fresh air, it seemed like everything was picking up. Isa and He were together again, he was adopting his cousins and he was going to have a baby, *well not him but you get the picture!*
walking towards the lake he saw the wolf boy running towards the school.
"Hey! what's wrong?" he ask as he got nearer to him.

[Remus Lupin]

Remus recognized Voltaire as Rori's cousin and ran up to him frantically. "Rori... she collapsed... by the lake... Come quick!" He turned and ran back toward the tree again. For once, he was actually glad of his latent wolf abilities, because they enabled him to run faster than a normal person.

[Voltaire Rothschild]

"Bugger" he said and he burst into a run after Remus. when he reached the tree, there was a younger girl and Rori was on the ground muttering. He Immeditaltly scooped her up and said "Both of you Come with me now, were going to the hospital wing and I need to know what happened! he said starting to walk back to the castle. He couldn't just leitate her, he didn't have that know how. so he just held her and walked...even if he wanted to run the whole way there.

[Remus Lupin]

Remus turned to Natalie. "Come on, you should come, too. Are you OK to walk? Do you want me to help you?" When she didn't answer, he helped her up off the ground and leaned her against him, helping her walk up to the castle.
