Kate, though the innocence had been stolen from her at a very young age, still managed to find embarrassment in the obvious direction of their thoughts. She wasn't thinking about getting back together with her ex, she just wondered how he was. She often did, they hadn't ended on the best terms.
She smiled politely at both of them and joined them outside not saying much. She was surprised that Sedona smoked but not overly so. She shook her head no with a soft shrug when offered the cigarette. Too many memories involving cigarette butts to ever entertain the thought of smoking herself.
