Sabrina walked out to the big tree by the lake, carrying two large books. They were the books she'd purchased in Knockturn Alley. This was the first moment she'd had alone to read through them. Before she sat down, she looked up in the tree to make sure her sister Natalie wasn't sitting in it. Seeing that it was empty, Sabrina sat down and leaned her back against the tree. Then she opened up the first of the two books and began to read.

Roxi had been sitting out by the lake doing nothing. As usual, it was another one of those same boring days at Hogwarts that people used to sit outside and do nothing. And, as Roxine had expected, there were several other people out there on the groups. She was alone though, but she did not mind at all since she figured most of the people there were half blood, or worse, Mudbloods. Sighing heavily as she looked around, her reddish hair in mild curls down the sides of her face and over her shoulders and her green eyes scanning, she spotted another person. The person was a girl, and she was sitting near a tree reading a book with another to accompany her. Figuring that she would go give the girl a 'warm hello', she stood to her feet from the spot on the ground and walked over to the girl under the tree. She crossed her arms and then spoke. "Ehem, hello," she said. Her voice was rather snotty and stuck-up.

Sabrina looked up from her book. She didn't recognize this girl, but the stuck-up expression on her face told her all she needed to know about her. "Can I help you?" she asked in a fake-polite voice. "I'm a little busy here, if you don't mind." She tried to cover the title of the book, so the girl wouldn't see she was reading about Dark magic.

Roxine looked at the girl and rolled her eyes. She then spoke, her voice the same as before. "Did I ask for help?" She asked her sarcastically. "No, so I obviously need no help. I was just trying to be 'friendly'." She then snickered somewhat and spoke again as the girl mentioned being busy. "Busy? Ha. All you are doing is reading. What would you want to read for?" She then noticed that the girl was trying to cover something, which appeared to be the title of the book. Roxi did not question the girl, since she figured that it was a book the girl found embarrassing to read and did not want her to see it.

"Yeah, you have a funny way of being friendly," Sabrina said, emphasizing the last word. "And yes, I am reading. I imagine that would be a novelty for you, but it so happens I like reading. And right now, you're blocking my light." She rolled her eyes and looked back down at the book, trying to get the girl to leave her alone.

"You have a funny way to greet people when the tell you hello," Roxine told her. "Reading? I find it a waste of my time. I could be doing something else. What would be the use of reading when you can spend your time having fun with friends. But then again, those that have no friends, I have noticed, spend their time reading outside beneath trees. What a shame..." She smiled somewhat and then shook her head. Roxine ignored the comment that the girl made about being in her light. Instead, Roxine just continued to stand there in her same spot, allowing her shadow to block the girl's light.

"I have plenty of friends," Sabrina said. "Funny, though, you're the one who's coming over and talking to random people, not me. Shouldn't you be hanging out with your own friends? It's too bad you apparently think you're too good to read and expand your mind a little."

"So what if I am coming and talking to random people! It's nice to be able to meet others, don't you think?" A pause. "I have friends, sure. I am just out here trying to possibly make some new ones. Is that okay with you?" Even though she had asked, she did not necessarily want an answer. It had been a retorical question. She then rolled her eyes. "Who said that I said that I was too good? I only read when I have to, which is when I have homework and other things to worry about. Other than that, I do not bother to read books." She sighed heavily. "I do not even know why I am sitting here trying to hold a conversation with you. Some people were just taught no manners about how to speak to other people. I come over here to say hello, and you just get an attitude. Tsk..."

Sabrina wasn't entirely sure what it was about this girl that was getting on her nerves, but she really wanted her to go away. She wanted to read these book, and it was the first spare moment she'd had to do so. "Look, maybe you really were intending to be friendly, but you didn't sound like it. I'm sure you're very nice one a person gets to know you. But right now, I'm busy trying to do some research for a... a project and I really don't have time to talk to you."

Roxine smirked somewhat evilly and fakely. "Of course I was trying to be friendly. That's me - th friendliest person you could ever meet." Of course, she was lying. It was not obvious of course, since she could hide when she was lying very well. However, she just looked at the girl with a fake, kind expression on her face.
As the girl mentioned that she was going research for a project, Roxi spoke, trying to offer to 'help'. She just wanted to see what the girl was reading about actually. "Well, I...I can help you, if you want me to. I am sure that whatever you are doing is already something that I have done, or something that I know. What are you working on?"

Sabrina looked at the girl suspiciously. She did not buy the sincere act one bit. "No, thanks, I'm fine," she said. "I think I can handle it." She moved the book away from the girl's prying eyes.

"Fine." Roxi looked at the girl oddly as she moved the book from her view. She then figured that it was something she was not supposed to be doing. Roxi ignored it since she was not in the mood for arguing and fighting with another person at the moment. "If you think you can handle it, you can be a big girl and handle it. But when you, uh, need help, do not come crying to me," she said and then turned, tossing her long reddish hair over her should and started to walk off.
