Melody ran up to the Room of Requirement((I'm calling it R.O.R from now on, its too much for me to type...)) tears puring down her face. She was strong enough to where she wouldn't let people see her cry. She reached the seventh floor to where she paced back and forth in front of the wall three times and the magical door appeared.
She opened the door and let herself in. She thopught of a room with a fire, a dancefloor, a bed, large doors that led out to an open wide space, and of course a bathroom in case she would need it. She collapsed on the couch crying. She couldn't understand it. Why did he have to do this to her?
She allowed the room to be left open for only the one she wanted in here. Sirius Black She curled her knees to her chest and cried. She heard the door creak, but she didn't even look up. She just stayed like that crying. She didn't understand it. Even though they weren't seeing each other, she felt heartbroken.

Sirius, however, had no idea about any of this. He liked girls, and he flirted shamelessly. And he'd already broken one heart along the way. There were sure to be more. He felt badly about it, and never did it intentionally, but he couldn't seem to help himself.
At the moment, he was walking back from the owlery, having sent an order to a wizard catalog for some new joke supplies, when he spotted a door that he had not seen before. Remus had told him about a hidden door along this hallway, but they had not yet figured out the secret to making it work.
Curious, he opened the door and peeked inside. "Hello?" he said tentatively.

Nelody sat up bewildered and looked at the boy who called out something. Seeing it was the cause of her problems she quickly looked away, trying to hide her tears. Unfortunately, she was never good at that. She got up off the couch and walked to the bathroom and cleaned herself up somewhat and walked back out. "Oh hello Sirius." she said wih a bit of ice to her voice. She wanted him to feel as much pain as he had caused her.
She walked over in front of the doors and and opened them wide. She walked out and felt the warm sunshine on her back. She sighed happily, but then remembered the source of her pain was still standing there. She stalked over to him and glared intensely. "Why Sirius, why? Why do you do this to me?" She tried to hurt him, but when she realized that she couldn't, she fell to her knees and fresh tears spilled out of her blue eyes and down her cheeks.
She closed her eyes trying to force the tears to stop. They wouldn't stop even if she had willed herself to. She felt warmth on her face. She didn't dare open her eyes in case it was Sirius. She couldn't tell if it ws Sirius or if she was blushing madly, a deep tomato red color.

Sirius was a bit confused. He had seen the girl around, and he might have flirted with her once or twice, but he didn't recall doing anything in particular to make her cry. She seemed to be almost hysterical, and he really didn't know what to do with her at all. He stood there, his hands jammed in his pockets, watching her nervously.
"Um... Are you... OK?" he asked. "I can go, if you want to be alone. You seem upset... you're Melody, right?"

Melody looked up and composed herself. "Yes my name is Melody. Melody Lyric by the way. I'm sorry if I seem to be confusing you a little too much. I'm just confused and upset. If you walk with me I can explain to you why." She turned and wished for a bridge in the grassy area that led to a quiet stream. She saw it appear and she waited by the bridge for Sirius. She looked back and waved her hand. "Come on!" She giggled.
She shouldn't have been so down. She should have realized from the beginning that Sirius was just a big flirt and really didn't know if he would truly like her for her or just see her as another girl to flirt with. She heard his footsteps and she stepped on the bridge and motioned for him to follow.

Sirius stood, momentarily transfixed by the changes in the room. It had started out as a normal room, and suddenly was turning into a beautiful wilderness. He was about to ask her how she was doing this, when she waved him over to a little bridge that had magically appeared.
He shrugged and walked over to her, leaning against the rail of the bridge with his arms. "Um, OK," he said. "Why?"

"okay. Well remember in the beginning of the year, how you flirted with me and such? Well whenever you kept flirting with me, I always took it as something more. I had the feeling you genuinely liked me. Ever since then, I've liked you inside and out. I have never stopped. Well anyway, you probably think I'm a little stupid for falling for you." She waved her hand and looked over the railing of the bridge and stared at the beautiful running water.

Sirius let out a sigh. "I'm sorry," he said sincerely.
He didn't exactly set out to break girl's hearts or make them fall for him. He'd broken Kris's heart, and ruined Amy. He hadn't even realized he was hurting Melody. How many other girls' hearts had he broken without even realizing it? He thought of Emmeline, and wondered whether she was falling for him, too. They both insisted they were just friends, but what if it was more than that? he didn't want to hurt Emmeline the way he'd hurt Kris and Amy.
"Look... I never should have flirted with you then. I was dating Kris. And... well, I kind of can't help it. I'm just... friendly, that's all. I'm sorry I hurt you, it wasn't intentional."

Melody whipped her head up as Sirius was apologizing to her. "It's okay." She smiled and looked at him. "I..I guess I just couldn't help falling for you. You were the first person I met here and i guess...well I guess you could say you were, still are, my best friend Sirius. You'll always be and no matter what happens, even if by some chance you do end up dating me, I still want to be your best friend." She took a step closer and looked at him.

Sirius thought this was kind of sad. She thought of him as her best friend, and to him, she was just a girl he flirted with sometimes. He had a lot of girls like that, actually... Emmeline and Joey and Brynn, in particular.
"Gah... I need to stay away from girls," he mumbled to himself. If he kept this up, he was only going to get himself into more trouble. He knew all about the little sign that Kris had posted in the common room, warning girls to stay away from him. Unfortunately for them, no one seemed to be listening to Kris.
"Look... James and Remus and Peter are my best friends," he said. "We can be friends, too. But... I didn't mean to lead you on and make you think there was something here that wasn't. I'm afraid I do that all the time."

Melody looked up at Sirius eyes shining. "It's okay Sirius. Really. It's not your fault that you happen to be very convincing when you want to be." SHe laughed at her choice of words and looked down. Still she couldn't help but feel comehting deep inside of her. She knew it was never meant to be, but she could dream right? She sighed and turned to walk past Sirius. She felt the one wide board she was standing on creak and the bridge happened to be so far above the small stream.
The board creaked and snapped in half and she fell through screaming. She tried to grab onto one of the boards but her hands slipped off it and she fell into the stream. The water covered her head and her head hit one of the jagged sharp rocks at the bottom. She saw crystal clear blue water, red, and then total darkness.

It all happened so fast and Sirius didn't quite know what was happening. He saw her fall through the bridge and hit her head. Just after that, whatever magic was being worked in the room seemed to end, and he was standing in an empty, white room, with nothing else around but her. She was lying on the white floor, and a small pool of blood seeped out from under her hair.
"What the....?" Sirius said, still not sure what had just happened. One thing was certain, she needed to go to the hospital wing. He picked her up carefully and hurried out of the room and down the stairs to the hospital wing. When he got there, he laid her down on one of the beds and tried to get her to wake up.

Melody, still immersed in complete darkness was dreaming. In her dream was a field full of flowers and a simple tune playing. The tune playing was Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. She was laying down in the field of flowers. She had on a simple sundress and bare feet. She got up and began to dance. She saw a person sitting at the piano and she grinned. She began dancing and smiled in her sleep.
The dream stopped like a film without sound. She heard someone faintly calling her name and she groaned. She opened her eyes slowly and kept blinking until her vision became clear again. SHe saw someone and she recognized them. "Si-Sirius?" She moaned and tried to sit up, but fell backwards clutching her head. "Where am I?" She couldn't remember a thing. She could only remember him because he was the last thing she saw.
