It was a few weeks after Roland's death, and while everything was supposed to be going back to normal, Andi was not feeling well at all. She had barely even known Roland or Riley for that matter, but the whole thing still affected her very much. It seemed strange that she should still be so disturbed by his death that she was getting sick to her stomach nearly every day, but she was. She couldn't seem to keep anything down, and she nearly fainted in Herbology class.
It was time to check with Madam Pomfrey. Dismissing class early that day, she slowly made her way up to the first floor, intending to visit the hospital wing.

Word traveled fast amongst the circles that Rabastan traveled, and he heard rumors that Andromeda had gotten married. The thought made him scowl, and he wished he had seen her to ask about it. She wouldn't know how irritated he was when he spoke with her, of course, but he did want to see if the rumors were true.
It just so happened that he was heading towards the staircase to go down to the entrance hall when the very woman on his mind met his eyes, coming up the stairs and looking... well, worse for the wear.
"Andromeda?" he asked, smiling as he hurried his pace to greet her.

Great. That was just the thing she needed to make her day better. A visit from Rabastan Lestrange. She clutched the railing for support as she came to a stop on the top step.
"I really don't have time to talk, Rabastan. I'm... I'm busy."
Her stomach gave another lurch, and her knees began to feel weak. Not that she'd admit that to Rabastan, who would probably jump to the wrong conclusion. He did not affect her anymore.
"I need to go." She took a few steps away from the staircase when the dizzy feeling in her head kicked in, and her legs gave out on her.

Luckily, Rabastan was right near her when her legs gave out, and it was just instinct for him to reach out to her.
He took her in both of his arms, but one arm reached out to steady them on the banister. Somehow, he thought that Andi was definitely preoccupied, but 'busy' wasn't quite true.
"Andromeda," he said gently. He wasn't sure if she had gone unconscious or not, and he looked around. The hall was deserted. "Come on," he said.

She hadn't actually lost consciousness, but she was definitely fuzzy. It was unusual for her to be so dizzy, and she'd never actually fainted in her life. She was more than a little embarrassed that it had to be Rabastan who had to witness it.
She attempted to struggle, but she didn't really feel strong enough to put up much of a fight. "Rabastan... Put me down. I'm... I'm fine. I can walk."
This might have been a lie, and she fully expected him to ignore her request. Still, she would have rather walk down the hall to the Hospital wing on her own.

"No, you can't," Rabastan replied, usually never one to disappoint a woman's expectations. "What's going on with you, love?" he asked her, but he didn't really expect a response either. He carried her up a couple more flights of stairs.
He should have let her go, and do whatever she wanted to do. But some part of him wanted to play the concerned hero. Besides, he knew her well enough to know that was never the type to be unsteady on her feet. Something was definitely wrong. Stress, maybe.
When they came to the hospital wing, he pushed the door open with his back and took her inside, laying on on a bed while he waited for Madam Pomphrey.

Of all the people in all the school, why did it have to be him? She was quite sure now that she no longer felt anything for him, but that didn't mean that she was keen to have him hanging around. They may have come from the same world, but she no longer wanted anything to do with him or the world he was part of. And yet, here he was, carrying her up the stairs and acting like he cared.
When they reached the hospital wing, she turned to him, frowning. "Rabastan, thanks for your help. I've got it from here. You can go."
