Gettin' Some Fresh Air

[Alastor Domino]

Alastor walked down to the lake and sat down on the sand.

[Sabrina St. Clare]

Sabrina was out strolling by the lake when she saw her uncle, Alastor, sitting by the water. "Uncle Alastor!" she gasped, running up to him. "It's so good to see you! What are you doing here?"

[Alastor Domino]

"Hey Sabrina." He replied hugging her. "I'm the new Transfiguration teacher."

[Sabrina St. Clare]

"That's great!" Sabrina said. "It'll be so nice to have you close by after what happened..." She looked away sadly. "Hey! You should come to Hogsmeade this weekend! Natalie's coming up for a visit. You were always her favorite uncle, and she's been so sad lately..."

[Alastor Domino]

"I'll come if I don't have much work." He replied. "Why has she been sad? Hasn't she been with your mother?"

[Sabrina St. Clare]

Sabrina covered her mouth. "Oh, no... you haven't heard! I... I thought Dad wrote to you, but..." She sighed. "Mum... Mum's dead. She was killed by a Death Eater that was working at the Ministry."

[Alastor Domino]

"What?!" He said. "I'm so sorry. Have you found out who did it?" Alastor was astonished. It came a huge surprise.

[Sabrina St. Clare]

"No, not yet. The ministry's not even investigating it! They're covering it up. But I'm goign to find out who did it and make them pay." Her eyes took on a fierce, determined look and her voice shook with anger.

[Alastor Domino]

"Sabrina, you won't try to find out." He said. "I will."

[Sabrina St. Clare]

"I will do it," she said. "I have to. But you can help. All i know is that the person worked at the Ministry and that they disappeared afterward. Elle says she heard that a woman was working at the Ministry and she disappeared right around the same time. As soon as I find out who she was, and where she is, I'm sure I'll find the person who killed Mum."

[Alastor Domino]

"Sabrina, listen to me. You aren't experienced enough." He replied. "I could do it. Hardly anyone knows I'm an animagus."

[Sabrina St. Clare]

"I know," Sabrina said. "But I'm a quick learner and I'm studying some stuff that will help me. Uncle Al, I know you want to protect me, but I've made up my mind on this and you can't stop me from doing what I have to do."

[Alastor Domino]

"Actually I can stop you, it's called detention." He said. "What stuff are you learning?"

[Sabrina St. Clare]

Sabrina frowned. She was not going to tell him about the book on Legilimency she'd taken out of the library. "Please, just... you have to let me do this," she said desperately.

[Alastor Domino]

"Sabrina, I have to do what's right for you." He said not meeting her gaze. "I promise allow you to help me as long as you don't do anything about it on your own."

[Sabrina St. Clare]

"You're not my father," she said resentfully. She stared at the gorund for a minute, then sighed. "Fine. Fine, I'll let you go after the killer, but I'm still going to find out who it is."

[Alastor Domino]

"I know I'm not your father, but I'm someone who cares for you." He replied. "I'll tell you who it is when I find out. Do you have any suspicions or hints?"

[Sabrina St. Clare]

"Not yet," she said, still staring at the ground. "But cousin Elle and my friends Rori and Anna Marie have been helping me. Anna stole some files or something from the Ministry."

[Alastor Domino]

"I'd like it if you could tell Anna to give the files to me, so I could take a look at them." He said.

[Sabrina St. Clare]

"I'll try," Sabrina said. "But she doesn't like you. Maybe when she knows you're my uncle, she'll be more agreeable."
