Quinn was still fuming as she led Korbel back into the forest in search of the spot where they had lost Dawn's scent. "Do you believe that rotten little screech owl?" she spat. "Ugly! She called me ugly! ME! She is just lucky Gretchen needs her to get the hunter, because I'd like nothing better than to rip her apart and beat her with her own limbs!"

Korbel gave a slight chuckle and put both his hands on her shoulders. "Just calm down and don't worry about her," said Korbel. "She just says things to try to get you angry, so that you will get in trouble with Gretchen. And you basically know the things she says about you are lies anyway."

"I know, I know," Quinn said, her voice still tense. "I just don't get that stupid girl. Why doesn't she just shut up? She gets herself into more trouble by shooting off her mouth! Seriously, Gretchen better put a gag on her, or I'm gonna wind up killing the little twit."

"You can't kill her," said Korbel. "At least not right now. You'll be with me, so don't even worry about her. Her brother will be here soon enough and we won't have to deal with her anymore." He took her hand and started walking again in search of Dawn.

"Yeah, I know," Quinn said, sighing. She sniffed the air, trying to catch Dawn's scent, but she still smelled only unfamiliar scents. "You know, this almost smells like regular wolves came through here. Like, a whole pack of them. And they were angry about something. Do you smell it, too?"

Korbel sniffed the air. "Yeah," he said as they continued to walk. "Here's a mix of scents, like they were fighting with something. I can't quite make it out." Korbel kept sniffing the air, in hopes to find Dawn's scent somewhere. He walked a few feet from where he just sniffed, and thought that he smelt a very faint scent of Dawn.

"It's strange," Quinn said. "It's almost as if there were werewolves and regular wolves here fighting. But that doesn't really happen very often, does it?" She glanced over at Korbel and noticed he was focusing on one area. "What is it, do you smell something?"

"No, not often," replied Korbel, starting to follow the scent he picked up. It smelled here, as if Dawn was alone. "I smell a faint scent of Dawn. Just her scent only. Do you smell it?"

Quinn walked over to where he was standing and sniffed around. "Yeah... I smell it," she said. Dawn's scent was sweet, like a delicate rose. "But I can't tell where she went from here. It's like she just vanished."

"Exactly," replied Korbel. "Maybe we should head towards the stream and see if we can pick up anything. I'm not sure where she could have went, although, where ever she is, I hope that she's doing alright."

Quinn sniffed around a little more in that same area. "Yeah, let's try and head toward the stream," she replied. "I have a bad feeling that she had one of her attacks... but where could she have gone?"

"I'm not sure," he said. "That's what worries me about her. I know that she doesn't want us to 'baby' her as she had put it once, but she can't just go wondering off like that. Those doctors messed her up badly." Korbel sighed and continued on toward the stream. He caught the scent of a few others. "Hey Quinn, hurry and come here," he said motioning for her to come to him. "Smell that? I smell a little one and someone else."

Quinn walked over to where he was standing and sniffed around. "Yeah..." she said slowly. "I definitely smell a pup... and two... maybe three others. And just a hint of Dawn's scent... but it's the scent she has when she has an attack." She sighed. "I knew it! She had another attack, and some people from another pack must have found her. Where do you think they'd take her?"

"I don't know," said Korbel. "I'm not too familiar with those scents. I've smelt one of them before, but I can't place where. I guess we just follow their scent. If we don't find Dawn there, then we start over I guess."

"Yeah, OK, that makes sense," said Quinn. "I wonder why she decided to go off like that alone? She knows what can happen if she has an attack while she's by herself." She walked a little more, following the scent. "Korbel, does it seem to you like she's been having more attacks lately, since she came here?"

"There's no telling with Dawn," replied Korbel. "I just wish that she would just stay where she's safe and not wonder off. I know that we treat her like she's a baby, but if we don't, then something bad could happen to her." He sighed and shook his head. "Now that you mention it, it seems like she has. It happens more when she tries to think or remember something. I wonder what going on in her head, and what those men in white coats did to her."

"Yeah," said Korbel. "I wonder what she did before she ended up with those men in white coats. Where did she live, and what other pack was she in if she was in one at all? Maybe just being here is bringing back some kind of memory, or maybe she is just trying harder here to remember. It's a good thing that she's trying, but then again it isn't because of what happens. I just hope she's alright, and if someone found her, I hope they're taking care of her, because if not, I'll make sure they pay for it."

"Yeah, when Buck brought her to us, he was kinda dodgy about what actually happened," Quinn said. "He just said that he broke her out of a hospital where they were mistreating her. I kinda always thought he must have bitten her, but he'd never say it. But I think whatever happened when she was bitten was so bad, that she blocked it out or something." She shook her head sadly. "It's a shame, really. She's so pretty, and she's always willing to listen and help other people. She's really too good for us... so yeah, if someone found her and doesn't take good care of her, I will rip them to pieces."

"He probably did bite her, but what was done, is done. I feel bad if that is one of the main reasons she's like she is," said Korbel. "She is pretty. I just hope that no one tries to take advantage of her. She's so easy to target." He kept smelling the air. "I think they went this way," he said taking a left. "However, I have to say that the scent of the people that have her, doesn't smell bad."
