Eve was going to take Viv's word for it, she was far to self conscious to actually look in the mirror.
She was still fantasizing about a world where she was married to Josh, where they had children, and they lived happily ever after next to her best friends. It would all be so ...perfect.
She laughed when Viv said that Josh was going to burst, the thought pulling her back to reality, " Thanks Viv...for everything."

Genevieve continued to look at Eve, admiring her handiwork. To say that she was transformed wouldn't have been fair. She didn't look like a different person; she still looked undeniably like Eve. All Genevieve had done was bring out the natural beauty that had been there all along.
"You're welcome," she said, smiling. Her eyes were even tearing up just a little, and she pulled Eve into a hug. "You really look stunning. I wish you would look, just for a minute. You won't believe it. But I knew it was there all along."

Eve shivered a slight chill causing goosebumps to appear on her skin she wanted to look, she wanted to see herself as beautiful for once, like her mama had been but she was a coward. Sure Viv thought she looked pretty but...there was so much room for disappointment, she was afraid of seeing the same old Eve.
"I wonder what Josh will say..."she said changing the subject.

Genevieve smiled, almost completely unaware of just how much her smile seemed to light up her entire face. "I think Josh will tell you that you're beautiful and you take his breath away," she said confidently. "And I'd better be careful, or I might lose Lance to you, too. You really look.... just as pretty as I always knew you could be. It's you.... but better."
She gave her own lip gloss a quick touch-up, then grabbed her purse. "Come on. The boys are waiting. And I can't wait to see Josh's face when he sees you."
