"Yeah." she smiled at him, "Tonight was great...just what I needed thanks." She was surprised by it, but thankful all the same.
"You know Jonesy...you turned out to be a really good friend tonight." she gave him a small hug then turned to go into the Gryffindor Common room.

Sin was in the room casually reading when the door opened and Alyx stepped in. His eyes traveled up to the opening and seeing her there with Jonesy was unexpected.
Even more unexpected was the smile on her face. He had been led to believe she was rather miserable these past few days...no thanks to his own self, but that smile spoke differently, and a pang twisted in his gut that he wasn't quite sure of.

Jonesy hugged Alyx tight. "Goodnight Alyx, sweet dreams," he said with a smile and watched 'till she reached the inside of her dorm. It was then that he noticed Sin was in the common room. He gulped quietly, hoping he didn't make his dormmate angry with the friendship he had just made. That tended to happen a lot.
"hey Sin," Jonesy nodded, pretending like it was any other evening, then he turned on his heel and headed to his own dorm.

Sin blinked in response, his eyes traveling up the staircase where Alyx went. She hadn't even noticed him, or if she had she didn't let him know it. It both infuriated and shocked him, he was so used to her being predictable. Something had changed and that was unnerving.
Still he nodded towards Jonesy unable to say much more.
