A small laugh escaped her lips and her eyes took in the night, "It's beautiful." she said a bit wistfully, and it really was, the night sky without the London pollution was a sight to behold. She did wonder why it was so warm but he filled her in quick enough. She nodded, " But the air is still crisp...it's nice." she said still looking up at the stars, "Thank you for this."

"Oh, it's nothing Alyx," Jonesy grinned, glad she was happy. "It's one of the few actual quiet places here in the castle, I hide here sometimes. The stars can be pretty soothing." He schared.
"Hold on a sec," Jonesy said, pulling out his wand. He did some sort of intricate wand movement and conjured two reclining chairs, sort of like the ones that were on the side of the muggle public pools he went to as a kid. "Would you like a seat?" Jonesy offered.

She smiled, he had completely diverted her thoughts, for which she was grateful. "It's a kind "nothing" all the same." when he conjured the chairs she furrowed a brow and wrestled with wry amusment, "spent a lot of time at the pool have you?" she inquired. She was no stranger to things muggle, she had lived in the muggle world for eleven years before attending Hogwarts.

"Oh, um," He looked at the chairs and grinned. "Yea, there's a public pool down the street from my house in Surry," Jonesy said. "I work there in the summers, first chairs that came to mind." He said.

She nodded, "There was a public pool they used to take us to once a week during the summer." She didn't mention how the pool chairs were only for the adults, and that the children had to stand or sit on the concrete. Most of the children swam but Alyx didn't know how when she was younger so she'd often sit on the sidelines watching everyone else. She felt like she had done that for most of her life.

"That's nice," Jonesy said in a tone that was obvious that he wasn't just saying that. "Here, let's sit," He held out his arm and led Alyx to one of the chairs. They sat and for a while, neither spoke. He smiled and faced the stars. "I've never been very good at Astronomy," Jonesy admitted, "But it sure is nice up there. don't you think?"

She nodded. "It is." A thought came to her that she couldn't quite place, but she proceeded anyway. "When I was very young I remember someone telling me that history was laid out in the stars. Most people cloud watch, but I always perefered to tell stories using the constellations...and even make up my own." she laughed then pointed toward the sky, "See that one there...now follow it down and back across." she smiled satisfied, " It's a dragon you see...and there's St. George" she laughed pointing to a few more stars that made up a stick figure. She used her wand to connect the dots and outline how she thought the stars ought to be positioned to make her story come to life.

Jonesy grinned as Alyx drew pictures in the sky. He realized how glad he was to have run into her that night, he was enjoying their time together. "My Dad used to tell me stories too," Jonesy said, but the words "my dad" caused him to choke for a minute. He hadn't meant to bring him up, it just slipped. Instead of continueing, he watched as Alyx's story in the sky unraveled, putting his hands behind his head and relaxing into the pool chairs.

Alyx nodded, and even managed a smile. Jonesy was easy to be around, he didn't drive her crazy like Sin did, and strangely enough he seemed at ease with her, which was something she didn't realize she'd value so much. It was nice to have someone to talk to who wasn't keeping their guard up.
"What kind of stories?"

"Mostly Greek mythology, he studdied it when he was in school," Jonesy said, surprised he hadn't shut up about his dad yet. "Like Hercules and Pleiades and that stuff," he said, pointing to said constalations.

Must have been nice, Alyx thought to herself. At the moment she couldn't remember who talked about the stars so much, or whom she spent time with as a child learning about them. She sighed and let the thought drift away. It was far too pleasant a night to think about how lonely she was, and she had never been the type to wallow in self pity.

They were quiet, and Jonesy watched the stars quietly. He tried to push the thought of his dad out of his head. It took a while, but soon enough, the only good memories he could remember were pushed back into the safe compartment in the back of his head, and Jonesy was okay to be himself again. He looked over to Alyx and smiled. "You okay over there?"

Alyx yawned, realizing how sleepy she was. She hadn't slept well the past few days because of everything that had been going on but she just hadn't felt relaxed enough to do so. She had to thank Jonesy for making her relax now.
"Yeah..." she smiled, " Doin real good actually."

"Good," Jonesy said. She deserved to feel good, everyone did. They were very relaxed, and though Jonesy didnt' really want to move, but he was sure if they didn't, they would fall asleep in the Astronomy tower.
"We should probably head back Alyx," Jonesy said.

"Probably." she smiled making no move to actually get up. She laughed at herself since her eyes were already starting to close. Then she peeked to see if Jonesy was going to make her get up or not.

He stayed seated for a little longer, until his eyes too started to droop. Then, quickly before he fell asleep, he jumpped up off the chair. He reached his hand out to Alyx, offering to help her up. "Come on Alyx," Jonesy said. "Last thing we need is to wake up and it would be the first year's astronomy class or something." he chuckled.

She laughed too then extended her hand and put it in his. "What a delightful companion you make Jonsey...when you're not stirring me awake that is." she smiled before she yawned and allowed him to help her up.
All together it had been a rather good night, and she owed her thanks to Jonesy. She didn't realize it yet, or well she hadn't before, but perhaps some new friends was exactly what she needed.

He pulled her up and pulled out his wand, disstransfiguring the two chairs. It was a rather nice evening and Jonesy hoped that, now he was newly friends with Alyx, they could do this again sometime. "Here,I'll walk you back," Jonesy said, though it was pretty ironic being that they shared the same house.

Alyx thought the same thing but smiled and walked with Jonesy all the same. "That's good, because if I fall into a dead sleep somewhere in the middle of the hallway at least somebody will be there to wake me up." she joked.

"Now we couldn't have that, could we?" Jonesy teased. He led the was, arm-in-arm with Alyx as they climbed their way to the Gryffindor common room. "I hope I was some sort of help for you this evening Alyx," Jonesy said. But by just looking at Alyx's demeanor in comparassion to earlier, Jonesy knew he was.
