Isaac smiled at the small discussion that erupted over which wine to order. He was a fan of red wine, himself, but she made a well informed point: it was important what you paired it with.
He assessed them quickly, and thought that the couple would probably order red, and the blonde seemed like more of a white wine girl. At the man's words, he gave the blonde a breathtaking smile.
"Try the white," he said, winking at her, but in a polite, playful way.

Virginia was powerless to resist that smile. Her breath caught in her throat for a moment, then she returned it ever so slightly. "Well, I do adore a good pinot grigio," she said in a shy voice.
She had her hands near her face and, as she smiled at him, she found a stray lock of hair that had escaped from her bun and began to twist it around her fingers nervously, an unconsciously flirtatious action. Virginia never really was good at flirting on purpose, but when she was nervous, sometimes her flirty French nature came out.
"Perhaps we could get a bottle of white to go before dinner, and when you order, you can get a glass of red," she said to Talon with just a quick glance in his direction. It was a reasonable solution, and she was silly not to have thought of it sooner.

Talon had turned his attention to the menu while Virgina was trying to decide what she wanted. As she spoke again, he looked up. "That sounds like a perfect idea. We'll just go with the white for now. You can choice any brand you like." Talon was never too picky when it came to his wine and he didn't care what Virginia chose because obviously the price of the meal would be no problem.

Isaac smiled and nodded. "Will it be pinot grigio, then?" He asked, not missing the motion of her twisting her hair, and it made him smile more softly. There was nothing wrong with an innocent flirtation, right? He would have been flirting with both the girls, except the man looked like he wasn't one to be messed with, and the brunette was definitely his.

Virginia smiled. A girl could all too easily get lost in that smile. He had a pair of dimples that were almost impossible to resist. It made him look rather like a little boy. "Oui. I think the pinot grigio would be perfect," she replied. "Merci."
She shot June a look for putting thoughts in her head. Now she was probably going to be giggling every time the waiter came to the table.

June raised her eyebrows and smiled as the waiter left the table. "Told you so," she said, almost laughing. "He's is an adorable sweetheart." As she said this, she squeezed Talon's hand under the table, silently letting him know that she loved him and only had eyes for him.
"So, Virginia's an artist," she said to Talon. "I told you that. I think you might enjoy some of her work... maybe we can stop by her gallery some day soon."

Talon refused to make a comment about the waiter, he only smiled in Virginia's direction. He knew that June looked every once in awhile and he wasn't too crazy about that, but if she touched another man it would be horrible news for her.
"Stopping by the gallery sometime soon sounds like a great idea. I really am looking forward to see what kind of art will be there." Again, he smiled. "So, Virginia, what type of art work are you into?"

Virginia quickly turned her attention away from the waiter and his cute derriere, which she couldn't help admiring as he walked away. Some people would have accused Virginia of being a prude, but that wasn't exactly true. She could appreciate a good male specimen, just like any other woman. She had even sculpted a few. She was just shy and blushed easily whenever the topic of sex came up. And she definitely didn't kiss--or do anything else--on the first date.
But Talon was speaking to her, so she could not take any more time to admire the waiter. It wouldn't have been polite. "I am a sculptor, actually," she said. "Mostly I sculpt abstracts... occasionally I do figures. I am looking for some painters and other types of art to add to the gallery."

He had to be polite to June's friend. After all, there was no way he was going to make a bad impression on her. The mask he put on out in public with June was key. Get them to trust him, that was what he was aiming for.
"Sculpting," Talon said. "Well, it is always nice to see the three-dimensional art and the life like resemblances of the figures." He didn't really care too much about art, but he wasn't going to lead June or Virginia to thinking that. Now that he thought about it, there was not that much he cared to much about unless a man looked twice at June.
"I know that your work will be splendid and I am eager to see it," he set a smile on his face, "as well as the other art."

Talon played his part very well, because Virginia never suspected a thing. Of course, she could be a bit naive at times, and she tended to believe the best about people. Sometimes this got her in trouble, although she was usually a little more guarded in her personal life. Right now, all she knew was that June liked Talon, and that was good enough for her.
"Thank you," she replied, smiling brightly. "I'd like to show you around some time. I could give you both a tour."

Hell, June never suspected a thing, and she liked to think that she wasn't really that naive at all. Sure, she and Talon had their fights, and she knew that he was very territorial, especially where she was concerned, but she didn't see anything wrong with their relationship. He still made her happy.
She smiled, glad that it at least looked like her best friend and her boyfriend were getting along. "A tour would be lovely, Gin," June told her. "Although it will have to be over the weekend. The Ministry keeps me far too busy at work most days. More people are traveling by Portkey lately. I heard the Floo department has been pretty busy too. I enjoy it, though," she added, just in case either of them wondered.

Virginia smiled. "We can do it on the weekend, then. Perhaps a tour of the gallery, then you can take me for a tour around London. Of course, I imagine our shopping trip later will help with that. I am so looking forward to it, Junie. All of my clothes are just too French, and I want to fit in a little better."
It wasn't that London wan't fashionable. But her clothes did make her stand out, and it made her harder to relate to. She didn't want anyone thinking she was pretentious or arrogant because she came from France.

"I can't wait for our shopping trip. It's so nice to have a girl around again, Ginny. Everyone I work with are guys, and then I live with Talon... which I love," she added for his benefit, kissing his cheek. "But some kindred estrogen is nice sometimes."
Their wine arrived, and June gave Virginia a look. Their waiter had some of the cutest dimples she had ever seen. He poured each of them a glass, and June took a sip of hers almost immediately.
"We'll do the tours this weekend then. But later in the evening... I sleep in far longer than I should on Saturdays."

It was usually a ritual for Brady to come into Galligan's and order dinner at least once a week. He had been doing it since he heard they were open. It never failed for him to just order the same thing and carry it home for dinner.
Eating somewhere wasn't usually what he did. Staying and having a drink, that wasn't a problem. Brady didn't care to much to just eat out although there were times when he would make a few exceptions.
Like clockwork, Brady entered Galligan's. The head waitress knew him by name and never had to ask what he wanted. Walking up to the register, he smiled. "Evening," he greeted with his hands reaching into his jacket pockets.

June had barely finished talking when her eyes caught a familiar face walk in. It was that guy she met over coffee the other day. "Small world," she said out loud, for the benefit of the two at the table with her. "Excuse me," she told them, and called out to Brady. Their table wasn't too far from the reception area.
"Brady?" She asked, hoping to catch his attention and get him to turn around. If there wasn't someone else he was meeting, she was going to invite him to join them. It was a dinner amongst friends, after all.

He was used to waiting a few minutes for his food to be fixed. While he was looking behind the counter at the decorations, a voice filled his ears. At first, he didn't think that anyone was speaking to him, maybe it was just someone else until he heard his name.
Slowly Brady turned around and his eyes found a familiar face. A light smile appeared. It would be rude if he talked to her across a couple tables. Figuring that it would be alright, Brady walked over to the table to be polite. "I suppose it is a small world. Evening June," he said in greeting her and giving a polite nod to the other two.

"Good evening, Brady," she returned, glad that he remembered her. It would have been embarrassing to have him look at her like she grew a second head. He still had that sweet smile that made him look like a little boy.
"This is Virginia, and Talon." Going the other way, she said, "This is Brady. He works in..." she paused for a moment, trying to remember. "Magical Law Enforcement. Are you meeting someone?" That was June, never one to beat around the bush. "We would love it if you joined us for dinner. We have excellent wine."

Of course he remembered who she was. Brady rarely forgot a face but then again that was because of his job. "Nice to meet you two," he said. "Glad you remembered." Brady gave a quiet laugh.
"I'm actually just grabbing dinner. It's a usual thing and I wouldn't want to disappoint Mrs. Galligan from seeing me at least once a week for her good food." The boyish smile was on his face. "I usually just take it home and eat it there. As for joining you, I would hate to intrude on anything."

"Trust me, you're not intruding. We were just having dinner between friends," June explained. "Virginia is new in town, and Talon and I needed a night out anyway. Please stay?" she asked, reaching out to take his hand as she asked him to stay.
Once he explained that he was just going to go home, and June knew that he wasn't meeting someone here, she really wouldn't take no for an answer. They'd only met a couple of days ago, and never met up for the coffee, but she was still hoping to get to know him. She usually trusted her judgment in people, and she had a good feeling about Brady.

Talon took in June's 'friend''s appearance in. He didn't look too threatening, although Talon didn't really like him. The way June's voice was around Brady made him automatically dislike him and he felt a pang of jealously when June touched his hand. It was bad enough that she was asking him to join them.
A small look of jealously crossed his face but being the mask wearer that he was, Talon put on a smile. "Yes Brady, you should join us. We have the space and a friend of June's is welcome. Please, take a seat."
