"Something different and exciting," he questioned. He could always go for something exciting. Things were getting somewhat stale in their relationship and Talon "attempted" to help things not go to stale. For him, however, he didn't think that it was going down to much. After all, he was getting whatever he wanted from her. That was exciting enough for him, however he would try and appease her.
"Yeah, we could do something like that. Do you have anything specific in mind?"

"Let's go somewhere," June said. "Somewhere exotic, like, one of those islands. The Bahamas or whatever. Can you imagine a week on the beach in the sun, instead of this cold, rainy weather we see every day? I can probably get the time off. And I could go get a new swimsuit..."
She trailed off, raising her eyebrows and biting her lip.

Talon raised his eyebrows. Go to an island? That could be a good thing...
He thought about it for a moment. "Well, that does sound exciting," he finally said. "Maybe we could, if you get the time off." Talon wasn't going to tell her no to that because he knew that she would try to question him. If someone called for him, he was sure that he could just escape quickly for whatever he had to do. Maybe he could make sure that she didn't get the time off, or they could actually just go. It could make her closer to him, plus it could give him the sense of being in control of what she did.

June smiled and leaned up on her toes to kiss him. "I'll put in for the time off today. I rarely ask, so I don't see why they would say no."
Maybe just getting away together would bring them a little closer and stop them from fighting so much. She hated to think they were growing distant.
"So, Virginia and I were going to go shopping later this week... I'd really, really like it if you joined us for dinner. I want her to meet you."

He easily pulled her closer to him as she kissed him. Talon smiled at her as she pulled away. Yes... maybe this vacation would be just what he needed to make her closer to him. Talon didn't want her to ever get any ideas about leaving him. If that ever happened, he didn't think it would be pretty, for her anyway.
"Virgina? Oh yes, you're friend. I think that I could possibly do that." Talon had to definitely meet this friend of hers. He made it a point to want to know all of her friends. He didn't ever want them to influence her to leave him. "Plus we haven't be out to an actual dinner in awhile."

"Excellent," June said, kissing him again. "I'll let her know and we'll figure out which night works best."
It was times like this,when she just felt so content and at home with him, that she wondered why they even fought at all. But maybe this vacation was exactly what they needed. She rather liked the idea.
"We'll spare you the shopping part, though."

"I think I'm free any night. I don't have anything planned." Talon gave her a smile although it was forced. She had no idea what exactly was going through his head.
"Well, going shopping with you is not so bad, but I do suppose you need some girl time." He might just so happen show up somewhere near where they were shopping. That wouldn't be too suspicious. After all, he could always make something go wrong in his apartment and use that as an excuse to get out...

"Maybe I'll buy something with you in mind," June said, batting her eyelashes, and then she laughed. Her eyes got wide quickly though. "Oh! Maybe... maybe I will buy something with you in mind for our vacation." How could any guy not want to hear that? She kissed his cheek. "Either way, I'll be thinking of you."
She was thrilled that Virgina was in town now, and couldn't really be much happier. Her boyfriend and her best friend were close by... really, what else did she need out of life?

"Oh really," Talon said suggestively. He raised his eyebrows and then a smile fell across his face. This time, the smile wasn't forced. Even as she said that, he still was going to try and keep an eye out for her. He didn't want June to be getting too adventurous while she was out with her friend.
He kissed her head. "I'm sure that whatever you pick out will be, more than nice," Talon said with his smile.

"Of course it will," she laughed. June loved to laugh. It was an instant pick me up, no matter what mood you were in. It was also really easy for Talon to tell when she was in a bad mood. If she wasn't laughing or smiling, something was wrong. She also had no problem making it known that she was in a bad mood.
"I know what you like. I won't disappoint you." she leaned up and kissed him again. "I really should get back to work, sweetie. I'll see you tonight, okay?"
