It was less than an hour to the ball, and neither Jeremy nor Nolan had done anything at all to get ready. Jeremy was sprawled out on his bed, writing on a piece of parchment. He had taken to scrawling short little poems to Alenna, trying to express his feelings for her. He usually managed to hide them when Nolan came around, but right now, Nolan was taking a nap, so Jeremy felt safe writing his sappy love poems.

What boys did to get ready was simple. Nothing like the stress that girls went through. Though, as Nolan opened one eye and looked at his friend, he wondered how nervous Jeremy was going to be waiting to see Alenna.
He took a shower a little while ago, so really, all he needed to do was throw some dress robes on, which were somewhere near the bottom of his trunk, charm the wrinkles out of them, and he was good to go.
"Whatcha doin?" He asked lazily. There was no way Jeremy was doing homework right now.

Rolling up the parchments, he sat up and flattened his hair with his hands. "We should probably be getting ready to go pretty soon, huh?" he said, faking a yawn. He didn't want Nolan to know how nervous he really was about seeing Alenna in her dress. And about the dancing...
