"Well," Jonesy shrugged. "Everybody's got something to say, its only matters if you actually speak your mind," Jonesy like it when girls, actually, all people, spoke their mind. It was an important quality that a lot of people didn't have.
"For instance, about, well, 4 floors down, I'm pretty sure you thought I was the most annoying guy on the planet. You probably should have said something then," he smiled.

"I'm sure I have a lot to say, and if I felt like my input did matter, I might include it," Roman shrugged, looking at Jonesy. Of course, she really didn't believe what she said would make a difference at that time. Speaking to new people was terrifying, and having to make bold statements too? Roman might have fainted.
"And quite contraire. I believed you were using me, and thereby didn't like you. You hadn't done anything to make me upset besides make me uncomfortable."

Jonesy raised an eyebrow, not sure if he believed her, but didn't say anything about it. "And using you? for what?" he noticed the book in her hands again. "It's not like I'm going to copy your homework, last I checked, I'm a year ahead of you, I've already done the 5th year school work." Jonesy flashed a grin.

"Oh," she mumbled, forgetting the year difference. "I didn't realize that. I apologize."
She was starting to like him as a person. That was definately not something she expected. Jonesy had always seemed a little too outgoing for Roman's taste. At least he seemed genuine at the moment. Not at all as she perceived. Roman felt a little bad for treating him so unkindly.

"No worries," Jonesy smiled. They reached the top stair and made their way to the common room. During their walk, Jonesy came to the resolution that Roman wouldn't be another one of Jonesy's "women." the girls he'd chase after and put out his charms. Roman was more real, and Jonesy wondered what it would be like to have a girl as a friend, than that as a girlfirend.
In the common room, Jonesy simply stopped and smiled, wondering if Roman would continue on to whatever she was going to do, or if she was going to talk to him some more.

Roman was relieved when they reached the top of the stairs, and into the warm common room. It was a lot easier to feel comfortable in here then it was walking around. The question was if she should continue the conversation or not. Roman could easily get out of it if she wanted to, no problem, and so far, it had been easy. She turned to face Jonesy and asked, "how are you?"
She sat down on one of the squishy chairs close by and stacked her books on the table. They still had a wall between them, but she could see his face if he wante to sit down and converse.

"Not bad," Jonesy said. He took a seat in the chair beside Roman's and put his feet up on the table. His shoe laces were untied, and Jonesy thought it was pretty cool he didn't trip the whole way up the staircase. "How about you?" he asked, gaging her tension about talking with him more.

"I'm going to have to go with the sam response. No complaints here," she pushed his feet off the table, making sure not to touch the sneakers. They had been in her face, and she was determined to make Jonesy see that if he was going to speak to her, he was going to be polite, and a gentleman, rather then a lady's man. "Although, rotten shoes doesn't nessecarily give me something to jump for joy with."

"Rotten shoes?" Jonesy asked, confused. "Oh, from all the walking?" He restrained from rolling his eyes as Roman pushed his shoes off the table. His mother did that to him all the time at home, and he figured he should have known Roman wouldn't like it either.

"It's unsanitary," Roman shot him a look, half serious, half joking. "You wouldn't like it if I walked in mud and then jumped on your sheets, would you?" Roman was very particular about germs and sanitation. Her mother had drilled it into her that germs could get you sick, and although she could take potions and have charms done, it just seemed easier to go with the safe route.

Jonesy laughed. "Everything is a little unsanitary, It's good for you," Jonesy said. "If you jumpped on my sheets with mud, I'd just wash them, no big deal. I usually just fall asleep on the sofa watching TV anyway." He shrugged.
"So, Roman," Jonesy asked, curiosity getting the better of him again. "What do you do for fun?" Needless to say, Roman intrigued him, and he also strangely didn't feel the need to impress her like he did with everyone else on the planet. To him, it seemed he was already accepted.

"Getting sick is not good for you," Roman shuddered. "I could miss a lot."
"Why would you want to sleep on the couch? THat always makes me feel all sore in the morning, and again, I think you might be a little insane," she almost smiled. Jonesy was not what she expected. A lot more genuine then he put out to be.
When he asked her what she did for fun, Roman had to stop and think. She quirked her head, and then said very quietly, "I dance." THat's all Roman seemed to do. "What do you do, besides shamelessly hit on girls all day?"

"Yes, but if you get sick, it helps build your immune system. So In a way, it's better for you," Jonesy stuck his tongue out childishly. "See, I shoula been in Ravenclaw, see how smart I am." He smiled.
"I don't fall asleep there on purpose, it just happens," Jonesy shrugged. He'd just crack his back in the morning and get on his way.
"You dance?" Jonesy repeated, looking at her closely. She did have the build of a dancer, like a jazz dancer, but after meeting her, he was sure it was ballet. "Do you like ballet?" he asked curiously.
"Ouch," he said at her last comment, grasping his chest. "That hurt, I definatly do not hit on girls all day," Jonesy said. "Just half, like I said, I am smart, and you can't get this way on good looks," he flashed her a smile. "Besides, I also need time to write to one of my sisters each day." He explained. 3 sisters, plus his mother, it was a letter to a different person everyday. He missed his muggle family, and it was good to stay in touch.
