Ted nodded.
"Actually, I've been carrying that ring around for a while. I've been waiting for the right time. Do you think I should?"
Even if Arthur said no, Ted still would. He loved Andromeda deeply, and no one was convincing him to stay away anymore. Still, his best friend's approval would be nice.
"And hey, if we're engaged, maybe Molly will be convinced to give you a second chance." He grimaced, still feeling bad knowing that he was the reason Arthur was having problems.

Arthur just stared at the ring for a minute, slackjawed. Leave it to Ted to go plunging right in. Logic said that it was really too soon for Ted to be considering a proposal. He and Andi had only just got back together. There were still issues that had to be worked through.
But Arthur also knew all too well just how miserable Ted had been without Andi. He'd been impossible to deal with. And, if reports were to be believed, Andi hadn't been much better. Together, however, they fit.
"It's crazy," Arthur said. "But it might just work. Girls love it when guys are crazy and impulsive."

"It's not crazy."
Actually, his plan was sort of crazy, and he didn't know that Andi would like it or not, but he didn't plan on telling Arthur that he was going to ask Andi to elope with him.
"We love each other and we both know we're miserable without each other, so why not ask her to be with me always?"

Arthur just smiled. "Come on... it's a little crazy. Only because you just got back together. And before that, you both said some pretty awful things to each other. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, though. In fact... I think, if you're sure it's what you want... I think it's the right thing to do. It's the good kind of crazy. Sudden and impulsive and from the heart. You know?"
One thing people didn't realize about Arthur was that he was actually quite the romantic in his own right. Listening to Ted talk about his love for Andi, and Roland talk about his growing passion for Riley... it made Arthur ache to feel what these guys were feeling. His mind went immediately to Molly. He hadn't even known Molly long enough to know whether he could feel that way about her... but he thought maybe he could. There was a connection there that he'd never felt before, and he hoped he'd get the chance to explore it.
