Adelaide was happy that Peter had offered to stay with her after Madame Pomfrey dismissed her from the hospital wing. She was ordered to take it easy, but not to sleep for a while so when Peter said they could go back to his common room and read, she was pleased.
It appeared that the Gryffindor common room was on the top floor, same as the Ravenclaw tower. But they were on opposite sides of the castle, which was why she hadn't noticed she was so close to Peter before. "Thank you again Peter," she said with a little red in her cheeks.

Peter was probably as happy as he had ever been. He made sure to keep slow with Adelaide as they headed toward the Gryffindor Common Room. He didn't want her to over do it or anything, and he knew that he could keep her awake.
"No problem," he said with a smile. "I'm glad that you're just out of there." His last comment casued him to look a little shy. Peter said the Gryffindor password and led Adelaide in. "We can take this couch," he said to the nearest one. "What kind of book do you want?"

"Me too," she replied. "It was so crowded in there, and all those injuries..." Adelaide didn't want to think about how many people were hurt and lying in those hospital beds, so when they reached the portrait hole and Peter gave the password, she was glad for the change of scenery.
Peter pointed out a couch and Adelaide agreed, moving over to it. She looked around the large tower room in awe. It was similar to the Ravenclaw common room, but very different as well. The layout; a large circular room with a fireplace at one side and tables, chairs, and sofas spread throughout, was just like the place she had spent so many evenings studying. But the decor was vastly different. Everything was bright, crimson, trimmed in gold. It looked very regal. All of the portraits were of people Adelaide had never seen before. Some were sleeping, some were looking straight at her probably wondering why she was here as she didn't belong to the house of the lion.
"Um, I don't care Peter," she said at length. "What do you like? I'm sure I'd like whatever you do." They seemed to have plenty in common, so she figured literature would be the same.

"Well, I'm actually reading Hogwarts: A History," he said. "I can read some of that to you." Peter gave Adelaide a smile and then ran up the stiars to his room and grabbed his book before running back downstairs. Being able to spened more time with Adelaide and take care of her, made his cheeks pink.
"Alright, here we go." He took a seat beside her on the couch. "Are you comfortable?"
