Still So Very Shy (Open)

"Very shiny," Brynn said, as if it was any constalation. "Nice try though," she said. "Looks like we'll have to do it the muggle way..." Brynn set the cat on the floor, and was slighlty surprised it stayed put. Then she walked over to asmaller trophy, an award for special services to the school some time ago, and placed it on the now dust free shelf. "Ta-da!" Brynn laughed.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius laughed. "Yeah... I guess we're just going to have to do this the hard way, huh? But on the bright side, at least we've cleaned up the dust now... so we've done an extra service. Right?"

He glanced at the cat, who had decided to bathe himself in the middle of the room, before he went about trying to replace some of the trophies. After trying to lift a particularly heavy one, he came up with at least one way magic could help them out. He took out his wand and cast a feather-light charm on the trophy, enabling him to lift it with ease.

"Good idea," Brynn said, copying Sirius and making another one of the heavier trophies lighter. It took them maybe a half hour, but the trophy room was back to how it looked before...minus the dust.

"All done," Brynn said with a feeling of acomplishment. She walked over to Sirius. "Now what?" she asked.

Sirius set the last trophy back on its stand and turned back to Brynn. "Don't you just love how it takes just a couple of seconds for a cat to knock all these things down, but it takes us half an hour to put it all back where it belongs?" He chuckled, then glanced toward the cat, who was calmly licking himself in the middle of the floor.

"Maybe we should bring Agamemnon back to Andi before he creates any more disasters."

"Who would have thought?" Brynn laughed. "Yea, good idea," Brynn leaned down. "Come here Agamemnon," she called sweetly. The Cat looked up at her and then walked over. Brynn picked him up and cradled him in her arms. She turned to Sirius. "After you Mr. Black," she smiled.

"We should probably take him to her office," Sirius said. "I don't think she has a class right now, so that would be the best place to find her. Since we're not allowed in the staff room. I think her office is on the second floor, so it's not too far."

He had to laugh at the look on the cat's face. He was clearly not happy about being held.

She looked at the cat. "Okay, I'll let you walk, but you better stay with us, you hear?" she said, feeling slightly ridiculous for talking a cat. By the way that cat was looking at her, he thought she was crazy too.

"Off to the second floor then," she asked. "Unless you'd like to go alone, she is YOUR cousin after all..." Brynn said shyly again.

Sirius shrugged. "Nah, it's no big deal. You can come. She doesn't bite, you know." He gave a teasing wink in her direction.

He glanced again at the cat, who was walking right at Brynn's feet. "He likes you, you know. He won't do that with just anyone."

Brynn laughed quietly when Sirius said his cousin didn't bite.

She looked at the cat as well. "Really?" She asked. "Well, i like animals, so I'm pretty good with them." she leaned down and scratched the cat's head, causing it to purr happily.
