Diana was livid, or at least she would have been if she wasn't shaking with fear. She had heard about the attack but what's more, she had witnessed the destruction and the utter desolation of such an act. They were barbarians the lot of them, Christian included. How could he do this to her? How could he hurt her so badly again? Again? No this was a far worse betrayal, at least when he hurt her the first time he had been reckless and young, he simply was a rake and she knew that before she gave herself to him.
But this time... this time she swore he had changed, he swore he had changed, he promised no more windows in their lives. He was going to help her find their daughter. He was going to quit. He was going to...fix things? Foolish Diana, she had paid the price in trusting others once, why didn't she learn anything from that mistake? Well she had learned now, and she wasn't going to let him sway her with lies or otherwise, the next time she saw Christian, she would kill him with her bare hands...or maybe she'd break down and ask him to kill her, she wasn't quite sure yet but her eyes strayed to the window, she knew he'd be back...sooner or later.

Christian slowly padded along the streets of London, making his way back to Diana's apartment. He had hoped she would be asleep or gone when he got there, he didn't really feel like being around anyone else at the moment. The death eaters had launched their first major attack and it was on Hogsmeade during one of the students trips there, some of the others might have been okay with what was going on, but Christian could never abide the attacking and brutal slaughter of children.
The only bright side was that Christian was sure now that he had found their daughter, and not only that, he had saved her life. Stopping outside of Diana's apartment he stared silently up at the window, soon enough, he would have no more need for windows and he could keep his promise to Diana. Quickly scaling the walls, he hopped through the window and stopped dead in his tracks as he noticed a very unhappy looking surprise waiting for him, "Diana....."

The only reason she had left the window open was so she could push him out of it, she wanted to watch him fall to a miserable death, but he climbed in too fast for that, or perhaps she hesitated. Part of her, that weak part that she hated, saw him and wanted nothing more than to run and jump in his arms. She wanted him to tell her that none of it was true that she was mistaken, something else to make her believe in him again because she wasn't sure she could survive it otherwise.
But the other part in her, the hard part, didn't care what his words were she didn't want words at all, and she immediately launched into an attack slapping him across the face.
That was for the hurt, the betrayal, a time honored tradition of females daintily slapping a gentleman, well perhaps not daintily. At the moment her hand stung but it felt good, "How dare you..." she hissed. Pushing him backwards toward the window she couldn't grasp the appropriate words so she settled for hitting him.

As Christian saw Diana, he smiled and then was caught completely off guard by the slap across the face, he was even less prepared for the onslaught that followed. As each hit pushed him back towards the window, he realized he had to do something or she was liable to push him back out the window, grabbing one of Diana's wrists he spun around behind her taking a few steps back as he released the wrist. "Diana..." Making sure the couch was safely between her and himself he continued, "Is there a good reason why you've chosen to beat me today?"

She didn't want to be subdued but when he performed that swift maneuver she realized that he could fight her and wasn't and that calmed her and irritated her at the same time. She was irrationally throwing things at him and hitting him, none of these were precision hits however and realizing that she was fighting with an assassin and she would do well to take certain precautions, then again if her daughter was dead because of him she really didn't care anymore.
"How's hatred and utter disgust work for you?" she asked picking up something nearby and hurling it at him, " Is that a good enough reason to beat you?"

Christian dropped to his knees as the projectile flew over his head and crashed into the wall. He quickly rethought his original plan and decided to stay down on his knees, hidden as well as possible by the seemingly much shorter couch. As Diana's words pierced the air he closed his eyes and grimaced slightly as realization finally hit him, of course the crafty female who had captured his heart would of followed him to the attack.
Deciding it was best to make peace before going into the discussion he knew had to follow, he removed his wand from the pocket of his robes and tossed it across the floor. Holding his hands in the air, he slowly began to stand, "I'm unarmed, I give up...you win.." As he stood and faced the fiery tempered Diana Crawford, he hoped she wasn't that mad, "So, it seems someone besides myself was in Hogsmeade today....."

She had half a mind to snap his wand in half, mad? She was so far beyond mad.
"You kill children!" she screamed at him then as her eyes roved over the wand he had discarded she quickly took out her own and moved to where he was within sight and spell hitting distance. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't stop you from stealing innocent life forever?" she asked, asking him why she shouldn't kill him then and there.

Christian stood stone still, Diana was mad at the moment and he wasn't trying to tempt fate. "Diana...." He should have known she would of found out about the attack and of course he was there to put on a show, good enough to fool even the woman he loves it seemed. "You can strike me down right now if you so wish, I cannot say you wouldn't have a good reason.." Gritting his teeth, he took a couple slow, careful steps towards Diana.
"Or you can put your wand down and let me tell you how I think I found our daughter..." Taking a deep breath, he proceeded to take another step towards the fiery witch. "I swear by Merlin's beard Diana, my wand has not harmed a single child today, or any other day.."

She backed away from him as he walked forward and her glare was lethal in itself, she honestly doubted she could have killed him but she was in the right mood to. Then he mentioned their daughter and she was close to hurting him, luckily his words penetrated her hate.
"...you found her?" she whispered. Then he continued to say that he had never harmed a child before in his life and her eyes narrowed, " How am I supposed to believe you?"
