Thursday night was Aleczander's night to work late. Therefore, it was Shawna's night to party. She liked to get out whenever she could; all the domestic chores of running the estate bored her nearly to tears most days. Luckily, she had a very competent and discreet house elf by the name of Elsie, who was more than able to handle most of the boring household matters while Shawna exercised, swam in the heated pool, and got massages and manicures. Really, if she'd had to do all that household work herself, she never would be able to get all those more important things done.
Every Thursday night, Shawna went to one of the bars or clubs, in search of her latest "distraction." She had a new distraction every week, and usually more than one. She really hoped she would meet someone good tonight.... she was getting bored of the usual types. After a while, all the young, muscular, meathead types all started to look the same. And if Shawna wanted to keep seeing the same man over and over again, well she wouldn't be cheating on her husband, would she?
Stepping into Enchanted, Shawna looked around with a little smile. She hadn't been to the new club yet, and she hoped it would be a welcome change, with a new and different crowd of people. Well, men. She only cared about the men.
She strolled right up to the bar and ordered a Cosmo, then sat down on one of the bar stools, facing the dance floor. Her long legs dangled down from the bar stool as she began to survey the crowd.

It was one of those days that seemed to have taken forever to get through. He had been helping rebuild a house, but the only thing he was doing was helping with the framework. That took forever quite honestly. Jesse should be doing something other than helping rebuild houses, but he still hadn't decided what exactly.
Friday was going to be his day off, so that meant he could go out and get a drink without having to worry about getting up early and heading into work the next morning. Enchanted was his best bet since he didn't leave too far from it. He didn't feel like going all the way to Hogsmeade to say the least.
Walking into the Enchanted, Jesse gave a casual glance around, surveying the people in there. No one of interest caught his eye at first. He continued to walk toward the bar. However, that was when blonde hair caught his eye and he looked directly at her. He hid the grin what wanted to cross his face. Once he saw her, Jesse looked away. It wasn't a shy look away, just one of those that he was just looking around.
He stopped a few feet from the woman and ordered his usual. Why go for the weak stuff? If you were going to drink, then drink. He could see the woman out of the corner of his eye and he brought his glass up to his lips to hide the smile that appeared.

Shawna was casually sipping her drink as she continued her slow scan of the dance floor. Then she felt the familiar heat of someone's gaze on her. Smiling slowly, she turned to see a man standing next to her, trying to pretend he wasn't looking at her. He was cute. But then, she always thought they were cute.
She swiveled her legs around so that she was facing him. "You're allowed to look, you know. I don't bite. Unless you want me to."

Jesse took another drink from his glass, then looked to the woman that addressed him. "Yes, I know that I'm allowed to look, but I thought maybe after one drink some people would start looking a little bit better. However, I do think that I don't really need a few drinks to look at you." He gave her an amused look. It was Jesse's way of saying that she was attractive.
"And biting? Hm. Sounds entertaining." He gave her a wink.

Shawna laughed, a low, throaty rumble that was both playful and seductive. "I like you," she said. Honestly, it didn't take much. She hadn't met many men she didn't like. As long as they still had their own hair, and it wasn't growing out of their ears, she usually liked them. Her husband was pretty much the only exception.
"So, you got a name, tough guy?" she asked, surveying him over the top of her glass as she a sip from her drink.

He laughed. Jesse thought that tonight was going to be interesting to say the least. "My name? Well, I suppose I could tell it to you." He pretended to survey her for a moment, acting as if he should tell her his name or not. After taking another drink, he looked back to her. "Jesse," he said giving her an answer.
Jesse gave her a grin. "What's yours?"

Shawna raised her glass to her lips and held it there, not drinking, as she gave him an appreciative look. He was definitely a little different than the dumb, pretty boy types she'd been spending her time with. Those were fun for a little while, but it never lasted. This one, she could imagine that the flirting would be just as fun as the rest of it. That intrigued her.
Taking a sip at last, she lowered her glass again and ran her tongue over her painted red lips. "Nice to meet you, Jesse. I'm Shawna."

Jesse had a high alcohol tolerance. Once he finished off the glass he had, the bartender made another one and set it in front of him.
Her actions didn't go unnoticed and Jesse did his best to hide the chuckle that wanted to come out as she ran her tongue over her lips. "Nice to meet you too Shawna." He gave her another wink. He could have made a comment about her licking her lips, but Jesse kept that one to himself. "So, I guess you want me to ask you to dance?" He looked at her with his eyebrows raised a little and a teasing look in his eye.

Shawna smirked. "I don't need you to ask," she said teasingly. "I know what I want, and I'm not afraid to ask for it myself."
And she had something other than dancing on her mind. But she supposed that a little bit of dancing wouldn't hurt. She had the feeling that she wanted to take her time and enjoy herself with this one. "But I suppose, if you're asking, I wouldn't mind a dance or two."

"I like you," Jesse said with a laugh. He liked the women that were sure of themselves and knew what they wanted and when they wanted it.
He quickly downed his drink and then offered her his hand. "I'm asking you if you want to dance once or twice," he said with a smile. Jesse wasn't going to rush. He didn't like to. He liked to take his time with women and see how they were before he did anything other than a dance or two.

Shawna gave a sly grin as she slowly slid down from the bar stool, brushing against him as she moved. "Well, then," she said. "Let's dance."
She moved closer and slowly ran her hand down his arm from his shoulder to his hand. Then she slipped her hand in his, giving him a gentle tug out onto the dance floor.
As always, she debated whether she wanted to tell him about her husband. Some men stayed away from married women, but to others it could be a turn-on. She wasn't sure yet which one he would be.

Jesse couldn't hide the smirk that crossed his face as she ran a hand down his arm. Tonight was proving to be fun indeed.
He moved off his barstool as Shawna pulled on his arm. "Someone's in a hurry to dance," Jesse remarked with an amused look. He moved quicker so that he could lead her to the dance floor. Jesse wasn't sure if she liked the distance or not, but just in case he was close, yet he wasn't too close to her.

Shawna was not interested in the distance. As far as she was concerned, the closer the better. "Hey, why are you standing all the way over there?" she said, her voice warm as honey. "Don't be shy. Come over here." She reached out and pulled him closer, so that their bodies were pressed together.
The song was fast, so they moved in a seductive rhythm, completely oblivious to those around them. She liked the way he danced, with an easy grace and perfect rhythm. "I knew I liked you," she whispered.

Once Shawna pulled him closer, Jesse just laughed. "I wasn't sure how you liked to dance. I have to maintain being respectable." He gave her a wink and didn't hesitate to be close to her. If she wanted to be close, then Jesse could do close.
Jesse was fairly decent when it came to dancing. It wasn't that he ever practiced it all the time, it was just one of those things that was natural. A slow grin spread across his face at her words. "I knew I liked you too," he said. He also liked the way she moved. It was like she answered however he moved. Not too many women did that so well.

Pretty soon they were moving in synch, with a slow, seductive rhythm. There was no more conversation, just the two of them, dancing to the music and ignoring all of the other people around them. Shawna was enjoying herself immensely. What she really wanted was a man who could keep up with her. Merlin knew that wasn't her husband, the workaholic. Most nights he came home and fell asleep in his Ministry robes. He snored, too.
She usually looked for young men, because at the very least, they had energy and enthusiasm, and being with them made her feel young again. Jesse wasn't quite as young as many of the men she liked, but he was also more manly and mature. There was experience in those eyes, and she was drawn to it.
"What do you say we get out of here?"
