Daphne was waiting for her sister. It was the first time she'd be seeing her in years and she was a little anxious. They were such completely different people or at least she knew she was. She examined a table knife that held her reflection in it and sighed, she was about to have another mirror walk in the door only this time it was a mirror of everything Daphne just could not be.
Little miss perfect would undoubtably strut in with her bubbly self and attempt to fix their relationship. Daphne wondered if her sister ever had a serious problem in her life or if someone disliking her was completely foreign and that was why she was attempting to fix them. In either case Daphne had to meet with her to stop her from what she was about to do.
In order to feel more at ease she arrived early to take advantage of home terf making the place her own before her sister could arrive.

Nervous was the only emotion Bella could muster when the day came to meet up with her twin sister, Daphne. She knew the day would come when they would eventually meet again, but she didn't know under what terms the meeting would take place. At this point it felt a bit wishy-washy. She wasn't sure how it would go to start off with, and she didn't have a full understanding of the loathing her sister felt for her.
The time drug on until it came time for Bella to meet up with Daphne at Le Repas Cher, an uptown restaurant that she was surprised that Daphne chose. No matter though, she didn't complain or rejoice. She was just a bit excited to see Daphne, hoping she wasn't involved in anything she should be. She had taken time out of work to meet up with Daphne, leaving her work behind at her apartment, not wanting anything to distract her that day.
As she stepped through the doors of the restaurant, the wind blowing her red locks back and making her black skirt billow while she walked. She smiled brightly when she spotted Daphne, her spitting image. She quickly crossed through the restaurant to where her sister was seated, and pulled the chair out to take a seat across from her.
"Daph, it's been so long!," she exclaimed in a quiet voice. Her nerves were a wreck, as they had been most of the time lately, and she couldn't help but wring her hands.
"How have you been?," she asked, a note of worry hinting in her voice. She hoped everything was wonderful for Daphne.

They may have had the spitting image, and perhaps Daphne could have fooled a million into thinking she was her sister, but there was something in Daphne's eyes that told a different story. A story that held traces of sadness, infinite cynicism, and perhaps pain that she hid all too well. There were other layers of course not that she would let you see them, she had become extremely adept at keeping her features absolutely controlled which was why she was able to smile graciously at her sister instead of indulging either the snort of disdain at seeing her perfectly bubbled over sister, or the unexpected childish whim to jump up and hug her inspite of everything.
Instead her voice came out soft and cultured, " Hello Bella." another bit of Daphne that Bella hadn't seen before. The soft cultured woman where a gangly insecure teenager driven to rebellion had once been, and there was nothing shy about this Daphne. " Well, and you?"

Bella instantly notice the beautiful woman that sat before, and not the girl that she last saw years ago, looking very much like a teenaged female who's body had not grown into itself yet. Both had been tall and slender, but Daphne had been a bit gangly and awkward as a teenager. Now she was nothing but a gorgeous woman, and Bella could not help the smile that spread cross her lips.
"Daph, you look wonderful. I'm glad you're doing well," she blurted out. Admiration came into play for a moment, and Bella was sublimely happy in that moment. Being here, with her twin right in front of her and the two women not attempting to strangle each other currently.
"I'm glad to see that you are alright," she began, her voice beginning to sound as if it would break, "And I'm sorry for the way we parted terms. I'm not asking for everything to be perfectly okay, but I would like to see you more often," she stated with a small smile.

Daphne smiled but it was a chore to keep the derision out of her eyes. Typical Bella, optimism abounding in that shy hesitant smile. She'd like to see more of eachother? Dear Heavens Daphne might perish at the thought, this one meeting was enough suffering.
"No Bella, let us forget the past." she said softly, " I am doing well." she acknowledged. Yes finally she had her life in order, her perfect order, she had control finally and she wasn't giving up the reigns to anyone ever. She had to move things along, there was one reason for this meeting and one reason only she had to stop her sister.
"How have you been?"
