Vixie was not the type to normal submerge herself in a book, but she had recently found an author that she just couldn't get enough of. The only problem was the heritage of the author. She couldn't keep the book in her dorm, or be seen reading it, at least not by her family standards or her house standards. Sir William Shakespeare was a favorite of hers. MacBeth she had read around twenty times now, loving every character in it. She wasn't used to being a sap of sorts, but this guy did amazing things with his quill!
So here she sat, in the back of the library, hiding. She hated that she had to hide to read the bloody books, but it was her only option at this point. She was almost completely submerged in her hiding place when she heard foot steps. Not knowing who it could be, she quickly hid the book, pulling out her potions book to seem like she was studying.

Allaire felt that she needed something else to read. Right now, things were sort of boring. It was as if she was being avoided by Ashton, or maybe it was that she just had bad timing, but she did want to talk to him again sometime.
She decided to make her way up to the library and hopefully find something that would hold her interest and keep her from being bored. Ophelia was either working on making her curls perfect, or talking to Tyler, and Kassia was, Allaire didn't know where.
Entering the library, Allaire slipped by a couple of students and made her way to the shelves that she could lose herself in. Grabbing a book off the shelf, she walked toward the spot that she normally sat to read. There was a girl already sitting at the table, reading. She noticed the green on her robes. Allaire continued to walk over to the table. "Do you mind if I sit here?"

Vixie managed the closest thing to a smile that she owned and nodded at a seat across the table from her. Not knowing what to think about this girl sitting at her table and ruining her intimate time with Shakespeare, she attempted to control her easily flared temper. She knew this girl was in Slytherin house so it shouldn't prove to be too terribly horrible, unless she was another one of those twits.
"Hey, I'm Vixie by the way," she said, extending her hand politely, wanting to at least attempt a formal introduction. "Vixie Hart. I'm a fourth year," she stated with a bored tone in her voice, and a roll of her eyes. She was attempting to be cordial but she knew she was horrible at it.

"Nice to meet you Vixie," she said putting her own copy of Shakespeare's Macbeth on the table. She didn't care who knew that she read. "I'm Allaire Burke." Allaire was hesitant about saying her last name, but she did anyway. "I'm a fifth year." She noticed the girl rolling her eyes, but Allaire didn't bother to comment.
Allaire reached her hand out and shook Vixie's after she took a seat.

Vix smiled warmly now, seeing a copy of MacBeth on the table. The smiled quickly turned into a wide grin as she pulled her own copy of the book out and set it down on the table. "Well I guess great minds think alike," she said with a laugh.
"I would keep it out in the open myself, but my family would go ballistic if they knew I was reading anything written by ANY muggle," she said with a shrug of her shoulders, but she knew it was the truth. Her mother would flip her lid if she knew that she was reading muggle literature. Shawna called it trash, and the children were not allowed to read such things.

Allaire laughed along with her. "I'm glad to see that another girl in the same house likes to read."
She nodded to what Vixie was saying. "My family knows that I read a lot. They're not that strict on what I read however. But, don't worry, I'll keep your secret." Allaire smiled. "I don't understand what is so wrong about reading a book. Sure, there could be a few decent wizard writers, but Jane Austen, Shakespeare, and Charlotte Bronte appeal to me more." She gave a shrug. "What part are you on?"

Vix quickly found herself more interested in this conversation than she had been in any conversation she had been engaged in in weeks. She hung on every word, waiting for the chance to pounce at an object. When Allaire mentioned Jane Austen, Vix nearly fell out of her seat.
"No bloody joking, you read Jane Austen too? Pride and Prejudice is my absolute favorite," she said with a broad grin spreading across her lips. She had read the book at least one hundred times by now, her personal copy of it faded and looking like it had been put to extreme use.
"As far as MacBeth goes, I'm on Act 3 Scene 4 currently. I have read it several times over though, and now I basically just go through and choose which parts I want to read," she said with a laugh.

A pure look of excitement crossed Allaire's face. "Seriously?! Pride and Prejudice is my favorite too! I absolutely love Mr. Darcy." Allaire let out a laugh. "And Elizabeth Bennet is my heroin." She liked this girl already. Of course, if she tried talking about books to her sisters, they would just look at her. Kassia did read too, but it just seemed different. There was one other person she could talk about literature to, but now, she had another. "I think my copy is about to fall apart."
She smiled again. "I've read it numerous times too. I can't get enough of it. I'm on Act 1 Scene 1. I like the witches actually, but I chose to read it straight through, because it doesn't matter how many times you read it, you can always find a little something you missed."
