Brady was tired and it was his time off. He felt like he hadn't slept in a while, even though he did get a full eight hours sleep last night. The sleep wasn't entirely deep because his apartment was far too quiet and Brady kept an ear out as he slept.
He pushed open the door to the Leaky Cauldron and walking toward the bar, the bartender already knowing what he wanted. The bartender opened the beer bottle and sat it down in front of him. Brady usually drank lightly, but sometimes he would down a few shots of firewhiskey. "Thanks," Brady said as he turned and took his usual seat by the wall.

Logan walked into the Leaky Cauldron, and walked immediately to the bar. His day had been long, and he would like to sit down and maybe have a conversation, leaning toward both. Logan ordered and threw the money on the bar before seeing an empty chair. It was placed next to a ministry official he hadn't met formally. As he mumbled a thanks to the bartender, he sank on the chair.
"Hey. You look familiar," Logan took a long drink.

He brought the bottle to his lips and took a drink of the liquid. No burning, nothing of that sort as the drink went down. He didn't look up as someone took a seat in front of him.
"Well, that's something I don't hear very often," was Brady's response as the man spoke to him. He looked up and glanced him over and raised an eyebrow. Maybe he had seen this person before, but he couldn't place it.

"Ministry, correct?" Logan rubbed his temples slightly before looking up to the man and giving him a small half smile. "I don't believe we've formally met. I'm Logan Oliver." He shrugged slightly. "And you?"
The bar was somewhat empty. It was early, and eventually people would filter in. Logan liked making new friends, why not now? He bet this person would show up again in his life soon, with all the turmoil going on in the wizarding world. He took another drink, while waiting for the official to respond.

"Observate," he commented taking another drink from his bottle. "Nice to meet you Logan. I'm Brady Ferris." Brady looked Logan over and raised an eyebrow. He knew that he more than likely worked with the ministry as well, but Brady couldn't figure out where exactly.
He wasn't sure what this guy was trying to accomplish by just coming up and talking to him, but Brady was going to find out. "What department are you in?"

Logan nodded in gratitude, happy with himself that he had gotten a bit more observant, and thankful that the guy had told him. "Good to meet you, Brady. I work as a Slayer, or attempt to..." Logan laughed at himself slightly. "And yourself?"
Logan hadn't thought much of just going up to Brady and introducing himself. He had just felt as if he should get more involved in the ministry itself, and meeting on friendly terms were better then bad,

"A slayer? Hm. That sounds interesting. What exactly do you go after? Any creature in particular, or do you do it just in general?" Brady hadn't met any of the slayers or hunters around, but that was usually because he kept to himself.
"I work with the magical law enforcement actually."

"Actually, I'm working on rogue vampires, but I haven't seen much else. Most slayers don't say much to me, or anyone, really." Logan shrugged resignedly. He expected as much from people who's main job was to kill.
"What's your job at the magical law enforcement offices?"

"Vampires? I've heard about a few having activity around here." Luckily for Brady, he never ran into one, and he hoped that he never did. "I suppose they wouldn't. After all, it's a job that you usually do yourself."
"I just do whatever is needed in the office. Go after petty things, just simple things. Here recently, I've been trying to help work on the bigger things around here. I can't really go into that much detail about that though."

"I guess you're right," Logan smiled into his drink good naturedly. "I think I can grasp it after a couple of missions. I'm just not sure what to expect. I'd prefer not to get killed, or worse." A small frown appeared on his face before he swept it away. There was no need to worry. Things always turned out.
"Who isn't in to bigger things right now? Although I understand the secrecy. No one knows who to trust these days," Logan blew air through his teeth, a bad frusturation habit he had developed in his thired year at Hogwarts. "Carefree seems to be a rare luxury these days."
