Julia was a bit chilled as she came downstairs into the common room. She was carying with her a "Witch Weekly" magazine and a box of Pumpkin Pastys she had gotten at her last trip to Hogsmeade. Seeing that the couch was unoccupied, she jumped on the sofa and opened her magazine, only flipping through the pages until something more entertaining came along.

Laura entered the common room quietly and made her way over to the sitting area. The weather was too cold to enjoy the outdoors, and with nothing else to occupy her time, she decided to relax. As she situated herself on one of the faded sofas, she smiled at the girl sitting opposite of her who was flipping through a magazine unenthusiastically.

Gryffin had just helped Freddie find his charms class and was coming back up to the common room to relax for a bit. When he arrived he saw two girls who looked about his age. He smiled at them and sat in a near by arm chair. He looked at the ceiling and tried to relax. He didn't know why but he had been feeling really stressed lately. He just had a feeling something bad might happen.

Julia looked up as people sat down around her. She smiled at Laura and Gryffin and put her magazine down. "Hey guys," Julia said. She picked up her box of pastys and offered it to them. Laura seemed cheerful as ever, but Gryffin on the other hand, looked stressed and nervous. "Whats wrong Gryff? Big test or something?"

Gryffin saw Julia offering him a pasty and he shook his head in response, "no thanks."
Gryffin looked up at her, "no I don't really know whats up," he said kinda frustrated. "I just have a feeling something bad might happen soon," he said shaking his head. "I'm sure it's nothing, just being paranoid,"he said with a shrug.

Julia took divination, she thought bad omens were a load of bull too. But if Gryffin was feeling uncomfortable about something...

"I don't know what to talk about, nothings there I just feel weird about stuff. I keep feeling like someone is watching me," he said running his hand through his hair. "Oh well, whats up with you guys," he asked changing the subject.

"Nothing, bored mostly," Julia said, gesturing to the magazine. She really should have been studdying, but it didnt' phase her mind. She much ratherd hang out on the couch and do nothing.

"Isn't everyone," he said with an exhausted sigh. "My life has been kinda boring recently," he said with a nod. "Other than looking after my brother I have had nothing to do for a long time now, I wish something would happen." He paused and thought about it for a minute "I guess the ball is coming up soon so that will be something." 'Thankfully' he thought to himself.

"Oh yea, the ball," Julia said. She was lacking a date, but otherwise was looking forward to it. "Good deal, it should be fun." Julia said. The Yule Ball seemed to be the topic of everyones interest theese days.
