Zander ducked under another tree branch and said nothing for a while. They just walked slowly through the forest in the darkness, with nothing but the light of Zander's wand to light the way. Finally, he turned back to check on her. "How have you been doing out here in the woods by yourself, anyway? Are you eating enough?"

Ashura smiled slightly. "I've been doing fine, and eating ok....I-I've only been to town twice since I met you. Both times I ran into Sully."

"Does it upset you, seeing him, knowing that he has been hunting our kind?" Zander asked. "Are you sure you want to see him now? I could lie and tell him I couldn't find you. But for what it's worth, he says he's not doing that anymore."

"Oh, OK," Zander said. "I can understand that. As for why he didn't come find you himself, I think it's because he doesn't quite know his way around these woods. As it is, I'm not the best at it, either, although I'm getting better. Plus, I have senses that he doesn't." He reached the outskirts of the forest. The town of Hogsmeade was just visible through the trees. "Well, we're just about there," he said. "We just have to walk to the Hog's Head now."

Zander gave her an encouraging smile. "Don't worry. I think it will be all right. But I'll be nearby if you need me, OK? Come on, let's go. The hardest part of this is the waiting and wondering what he's going to say. Best to get it over with."
