First Meeting

[Korbel]

"Well, that's understandable," said Korbel. "But he's having to leave? Why is that?"

[Kris Lupin]

"He said that someone was after him because of something he did a while back." Ashura told him still unsure how much she should tell.

[Korbel]

Korbel thought for a moment. "Your brother does not happen to be a hunter is he? Possibly named Sullivan, or Sully, something along those lines?"

[Kris Lupin]

"Yeah...how did you know?" Ashura looked at him party confused and partly suspicious.

[Korbel]

Korbel sighed. "That's the one that Rochelle's with. She's like my sister, but anyway, your brother killed Buck, our old pack leader. Gretchen wants your brother dead so it would be revenge for Buck's death," said Korbel. "I'm going to tell you now, don't tell Gretchen about your brother. It would be best for you, that is if you want your brother safe. Don't worry, I'm not going to tell her about you, because you seem like too nice of a girl."

[Kris Lupin]

"So you work with her?" Ashura asked. "What would she do if she found out about him being my brother?"

[Korbel]

"Yeah, I do. She's my pack leader," said Korbel. "I'm not sure what she would do if she found out about you. She could do a number of things. Gretchen could kill you, kidnap you, or something like that. Who knows?"

[Kris Lupin]

"Oh...wouldn't want any of that to happen." Ashura bit her lower lip. "Why are you in her pack?"

[Korbel]

"Well, I was bitten a long time ago," said Korbel. "When I was a lot younger. I didn't know where to go, and I met Buck. He was forming a pack, and since I had no where else to go, I joined. It was a better idea than joining with Greyback, but right now, Gretchen is going to join our two packs together for right now. I'm not sure how happy I am with that, but whatever she choses to do, I have to follow. Sure, I do cause a little trouble in the places we go, but I know better than to cause trouble with Greyback and Gretchen."

[Kris Lupin]

"Oh...do you know who bit you....if you don't mind me asking." Ashura said. "I didn't meet anyone, I was always alone, that's what I'm use to but I want to change that."

[Korbel]

"I'm not sure really," said Korbel. "I think it may have been just some random wolf on a hunt or something, I'm not exactly sure." He gave a slight shrug. "I haven't met anyone really myself, and I'm beginning to think that I'm better off like I am. But we can be, oh what's the word, friends?"

[Kris Lupin]

"Sure. Why do you think you're better off not knowing anyone?" Ashura let go of her locket then looked at him waiting for his reply.

[Korbel]

Korbel reached up and rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't know really. Sometimes I don't really gain control of myself on the full moon, and I've been known to cause a few fights in bars," said Korbel. "And I don't think women really like that. I mean, the last time I caused a fight was in February in France. I'm trying to control anger issues."

[Kris Lupin]

"Oh, well fights are bad but if your fighting for someone...that's different." Ashura said. "I mean like if you were on a date with someone and some random guy came and talked to your date like you're not there and your date tells them to leave but they don't, and your have to step in and make them leave that's an ok time to fight...at least to me...well that's what I'd want. You know, someone that'd be there for me and protect me."

[Korbel]

"I know what you mean," said Korbel. "The fights I have normally been in where because some guy were tempting me," he said with a slight shrug. "And there have been some where I just wanted to take my anger out on people and then there were a few where I just felt like causing a fight, yeah, bad, I know."

[Kris Lupin]

"Maybe you just need a woman to keep you un line." Ashura smiled.

[Korbel]

Korbel laughed. "I guess," he said. "That would certainly be different. I'm not sure how well I'd do being kept in line."

[Kris Lupin]

"You either need that or a woman that would let you do whatever." Ashura shrugged.

[Korbel]

Korbel laughed again. "I like you already Ashura. You haven't yelled at me or anything like that yet. I've always thought that that's what would happen. I'm not sure if I'd want a woman that would let me do whatever I wanted without saying anything. I don't know. I guess I would have to wait and see what happens, right?"

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura blushed slightly. "I'm not the yelling type, plus you haven't gave me any reason to yell at you." She said smiling. "I guess you will have to wait."
