Cold Days and Warm Fires

[Dillon Alex]

Dillon walked into the common room and sat by the fire. He pulled out his last bit of homework and started on it. He didn't like to have homework hanging over his head. He pulled out his book and wiped off his glasses. He was getting a little warm from the fire and took off his scarf and laid it beside him. He finished up the last little bit of his homework and ran up to his room to put his books up.

He came back down to the Common room when he remembered he had forgotten his scarf.

Ama yawned as she walked into the commonroom, collapsing onto clumsily the couch and stretching. The fire was warm and Amandine rested her eyes. She had spent the moring basically running around the school, trying to find her brother. She had asked her cousins, but none of them had seen him. Not even Noah. So, Ama went back to Ravenclaw tower, defeated and exhausted.

As she watched the fire, her eye caught sight of a scarf lying over the couch. She picked it up curiously, wondering who it belonged to.

[Dillon Alex]

Dillon saw where he thought he had laid his scarf down but it wasn't there, so he looked around. He saw a girl holding his scarf, he could tell because it had been hand made for him by an old friend. He usually wore it instead of his Ravenclaw scarf.

He walked over near her, "Um excuse me could I have my scarf back?" He asked pushing his glasses back up on his nose.

[Amandine Ferrera]

"Oh," Ama heard a boy's voice and turned around. "Sorry," she said, handing him his scarf. "Its very nice, is it hand made?" Ama asked. "Its nicer than the Ravenclaw scarves..."

[Dillon Alex]

"It's cool," he said taking his scarf back. "Yeah it is, my old friend made it for me when I left like two summers ago," he said thinking about her.

[Amandine Ferrera]

"That's nice," Amandine said genuinely. "I'm Ama, by the way. Amandine Ferrera," she introduced herself and held out her hand. "Would you like to join me," she asked, pointing to the seat beside her.

[Dillon Alex]

"I'm Dillon Alex," he said shaking her hand. "Sure why not," he said taking the seat next to her. "So what year are you anyways," he asked putting his scarf back around his neck.

[Amandine Ferrera]

"Fourth," Ama replied. She scooted over a bit so the Dillon would have more room. "And you?" She vaguely wondered what Jamie would do if he walked in and saw her talking to some boy he hadn't met before...

[Dillon Alex]

"Fifth actually," he said readjusting his glasses. "So why are you sitting here all alone," he asked. He was curious its not often that a girl just sits in the common room without someone to talk to.

[Amandine Ferrera]

"Well," Ama started, smiling. "I WAS looking for my big brother Jamie. Spent the ENTIRE morning looking for him. But I can't find him so here I am," Ama giggled. "Sorry, lame story," she said.

[Dillon Alex]

"Oh yes because mine is better. I was finishing my homework," he said grinning a little. He pulled at the ends of his scarf. "I had actually finished and went to put my books up...and of course forgot my scarf," he said making a slightly exasperated face. "So your brother is Jamie...ah then your a Ferrera," he said making the connection they were a pretty well known family.

[Amandine Ferrera]

"Indeed I am," Amadine said. There were a lot of them, her family was pretty popular, so it wasn't much of a supprise that Dillon would have heard of the other Ferreras. "Is that a bad thing?" Ama asked curiously.

[Dillon Alex]

Dillon blinked. "What, oh no of course not. I doesn't matter what family your from. I mean unless they are going to like kill me for talking to you," he said. "I have seen some of your brothers," he said laughing a little.

[Amandine Ferrera]

"Well, the only brother currently here is Jamie, and I think he's relativly harmless," Amandine giggled. "But it's kind of hard to have a social life with an entire family of Aurors..." she added shrugging.

Okay, 'nuff about me. she thought. "Do you have siblings?" Ama asked.

[Dillon Alex]

"Yeah I have an older brother. He and I use to be really close. At my old school we pulled the best prank ever," he said with a smile. "We ended up getting the teacher everyone hated fired. Well she found out what had happened and we got into some trouble," he said running a hand through his hair messing it up a little. "It was my brother's last year there and I didn't want him to have to start over at a new school half way through his seventh year. I ended up taking the blame. That is how I ended up here, but I do have a friend who is a sixth year who has caught me up on some things. I guess I haven't actually seen your brothers but I have heard," he said nodding.

[Amandine Ferrera]

"I don't know if I'd be able to do that for my brothers..." Ama thought aloud, thinking that even if she tried to take the blame for something the boys did, they wouldn't let her. "Heard about my brothers? Probably all bulloks that Jamie planted, make them seem scarrier than they are..." she laughed.

[Dillon Alex]

'Not many would' he thought to himself. He couldn't think of anyone actually that would pick up and leave all they know so their brother could be happy. That in its self always made him feel even better for doing it. Dillon started laughing, "so they wont kill me for talking to you then," he said with a smirk.

[Amandine Ferrera]

Ama laughed. "Well," she said, smirking. "Lets just say, I won't let them," she laughed. "Jamie would hate it if I got mad at him, and Roland and Cyrus aren't even here at Hogwarts."

[Dillon Alex]

"Works for me," he said. He took off his glasses breathed on then and then cleaned them off with his scarf. He put them back on "hey your kinda cute," he said his glasses now clean.

[Amandine Ferrera]

Amandine giggled and blushed at Dillon's comment. "Thanks," she said, smiling. "You're not to bad yourself Dillon," she admitted.
