Dillon noticed her blush and he smiled. "Hmm, thanks," he said grinning. Dillon thought about it for a minute and then decided it wouldn't hurt anything. "So do you have a date to the dance coming up," he asked.

Amandine shook her head. "Nope, no one's asked me yet," she had a feeling Jamie had made sure of that, and wondered if Dillon would ask her. Ama decided that she wouldn't mind if he did ask, she'd probably say yes.

She said she didn't have a date yet and he figured since he didn't want to go alone it really wouldn't hurt to ask. "Would you like to go with me then," he asked. "No strings attached of course just as friends," he added he figured he was already coming on to strong and didn't want his old reputations to find him here.

Ama made a face like she was concentrating, thinking really hard about deciding to go to the Ball with Dillon. Then she smiled and nodded, "Sure, why not?" She asked. "It'll be fun," she added.

"Okay sounds good, but hey I have to get going I forgot I have a meeting with one of my professors soon. They are all just wanting to make sure I'm becoming adjusted to the environment nicely," he said. "Its nice to have teachers who care," he said with a laugh. He stood up "it was very nice to meet you," he said as he walked out of the room with a grin.

Nice too meet you too," Ama said, smiling, she watched as Dillon left and laughed to herself. She got a new friend AND a date to the ball, she was excited.
Ama looked around the common room. wait, why did she come in here again?

Jamie walked into the room and snapped into the shadows when he realized his sister was talking to a boy. A boy he didn't know that well. A boy that Jamie didn't like right off the bat. He couldn't hear that well, but heard enough to know this boy wasn't to be trusted. Instead of immediately ripping the boy's head off, he waited for the kid to quickly rush out of the room andleave his sister alone. Some date.
He turned and walked over to her. She looked a little dazed, and Jamie cleared his throat, simutaneously crossing his arms. He looked at her expectantly.

Ama squeeked when Jamie hopped out of the shadows. "Where have you been?" Ama asked, smiling once she knew it was her big brother. "I spent my ENTIRE morning looking for you, you were nowhere to be found!" Then she noticed how he was standing. "What's wrong with you?"

He gave a small smile to Ama when she looked frusturated. His sister was a little bit forgetful, he remembered telling her this morning he would be in the library. But his expression turned back to stone when she asked what was wrong.
"Who was that?" he asked acidly. "He looks like someone I could easily kill."

"Oh Jamie honestly," Ama said. She stood up and moved closer to her brother and the fire, still feeling slightly cold. "That's Dillon, he's my friend. Stop being such a dork about it." Ama rolled her eyes, knowing that if Dillon had been a girl, Jamie would not be acting this way.

"Honestly, I think I could rip his arms off with my bare hands," Jamie contemplated out loud. "Easily. I'm a lot bigger then him." Jamie took a step toward Ama to emphasize his height over her, towering over her, and glaring a bit for the 'dork' comment. Jamie throughly hated when people called him names, unless it was somewhat teasing. Ama had sounded serious.

"Jamie," Ama started, turning serious. "Stop it, you're over reacting. Dillon is a friend!" She emphasized the word friend. "I seriously just met him today!" He may have towered over her, but Ama was not intimidated by her big brother. "What is with you?"

Jamie glared non the less. Ama probaly knew exactly why he was acting like this. As an older and a protecter, there was no way he was going to let some boy come in and make her a giggling mass of hormones, and then have the audacity to not introduce himself. Any boy that had a sliver of a chance of getting to Ama would have to get through him.
"Oh, a friend." Jamie wasn't amused. "Then tell me all about him."

Ama rolled her eyes and huffed. Her brother was being very agitating. "I told you, his name is Dillon, That's all I really know. I just met him today!" Ama said. Anything else Dillon had told her, Ama decided she should keep to herself. It was none of Jamie's business and personally, Ama thought her brother was being a little too nosiy.
That was her job.

"All you know is that his name is Dillon?" Jamie was not satisfied at all. This seemed incredibley lax of his sister's skills as a nosy little sister. "Do you call everyone your friend when you only know their name?" He asked, biting his lip.
If this was Ama's sense of friendship, then Jamie was glad that she was always around him. Her trust in the guys around her wasn't very spot on. He was a teenage boyu, after all, and knew what most guys were thinking.

Ama placed her hands on her hips. "That's NOT the only thing I know, but the rest is none of your bloody business Jamie Ferrera!" Ama yelled. Something glass shattered behind her. "I love you, I really do, but you're too over protective for your own good sometimes I swear!" And she turned to march up to her dormatory, now furious with Jamie.

Jamie listened to his sister yelling, and thought about what she had said, resting on the couch with the weird dent in the wood, which had always been his favorite. He was an older brother, and of course he was going to be protective. If Ama maybe hadn't been as close, Jamie probably wouldn't have cared as much, but he did. And even if it was for her own good, Jamie wouldn't rest until Dillon prooved himself to be a good person.

Amandine reached the stairs and paused, turning back to Jamie, but not taking another step. "When are you going to trust me Jamie," she asked sadly. "I know I'm only 14, but I AM 14, you need to trust me. I'm your sister afterall..." and then she went up to her dormatory.

Jamie raised an eyebrow before resting his head on the back of the chair, eyes closed. Of course he trusted Ama, but he didn't trust this guy. Jamie knew most people by name, even if he didn't have any desire to ignitiate a conversation, but Dillon wasn't a name he had heard before. And Jamie wasn't taking any risks. He didn't call Ama back, there wasn't any point. She probably wouldn't listen right now, and Jamie wasn't going to waste the effort.
