It was a late evening, and Leo was sitting alone in the common room. Normally he would be with Rori, but she had gone to bed an hour ago, leaving him downstairs to finish up a little last minute studying. The fire flickered in front of him and he got momentarily dazed, staring into the flames. He could almost imagine Rori's face in the flames, and the realization made him laugh. He really did have it bad for her.

Ruecain was tying up his hair in a ponytail as he walked in to the common room. He couldn't sleep because he was worried about one of his little sisters. The younger of the sister wrote a letter to Ruecain saying that the other sister had gotten a cold. Even if it's just a cold Ruecain still worried about them. He shake his head telling himself,'Stop worrying about it they'll be okay. If they need you tell write to you.'His thoughts told him as he sat down on an armchair near the fireplace. Thats when he heard a laugh. He looked around and saw a fourth year. " Whats so funny?" Ruecain asked

Leo looked up, startled to realize that he was not alone. Seeing Ruecain, he gave a sheepish grin. "Oh... nothing. I was just daydreaming. Or night dreaming. Can you call it daydreaming if it's not daytime?"
He laughed again, realizing he must sound like an idiot. Sometimes he babbled when he was tired. "Anyway, what are you doing up?"

Ruecain chuckled a bit. " I would think it's called night dreaming." He said with thoughtful tone in his voice. "I'm just thinking about my little sisters. Thats why I'm not sleeping how about you?" Ruecain asked curious of why Leo was up too.

Leo let out a laugh. "OK, that works for me," he said.
He glanced down at the book he'd been trying to read. His finger was still holding the place, but he had no desire to get back to reading it. "Oh, just a little last-minute studying. I was trying to re-read that chapter on non-metallic minerals for potions, but I think my mind has shut down for the night. I can't seem to concentrate. What's up with your sisters?"

"Well one of them got a cold." Ruecain said feeling some what like an idiot for saying that. "I know it sound stupid to worry over my sister over a cold but there no else they can talk to." He said rubbing the back of is neck.
