Roma sat under one of her favorite trees near the lake that was currently frozen over. It was fairly warm considering it was winter, so she had decided to take advantage of it and take her homework outside. Of course, she was way behind in all her classes. Not out of character for her. She'd get it done though. Leaning against the trunk of the tree, she pulled her Arithmancy book out and turned to the current chapter.

"That seems to be the subject of choice, lately," Apollo commented, seeing the Arithmancy book. It was the same class he had helped Sophia in only a couple of days ago.
He looked up and smiled, more outgoing than the average Ravenclaw. "Sorry, I don't mean to bother you. It's just, quite a few people have been working on that subject."
He had been sitting at the lake, doing his homework as well, and couln't help but to say hello to her. He recognized her from his own house, knew her name, even, but couldn't say that he'd ever had a conversation with her.

She smiled at the interruption. Procrastination was a part of her daily schedule. Roma recognized the fifth year from around, but was surprised he was talking to her. Then again, he was a Ravenclaw and it was about a class.
"No, you weren't bothering me at all." She bookmarked the page and placed it back on her bag. "Thank goodness it's an interesting class. Otherwise it'd be more work than it's worth." Not spoken like a true Ravenclaw, but more like an average fourteen year old student. It was hard to concentrate, especially with the winter holiday season approaching quickly.
She suddenly realized that she had never truly met the boy before and quickly added, "I'm Roma Dugray by the way." She said extending a hand.

He noticed instantly that she was just as friendly and outgoing as he was.
"I know you," he replied with a nod, taking her hand to shake. "I'm Apollo, or you can call me John. Whichever you prefer."
He nodded back to her bag, where her book was safely tucked away now. "I agree. Professor Renneau assigns more essays than any other teacher. It is a great class, though."

"Oh." was her initial reaction as she shook her head slightly. She was a bit surprised by the fact that he had known who she was. Then again, not everyone lived in their own little world. She had decided that had to change this year though and this was a good start. Roma covered her slightly awkward response with a laugh and added, "Nice to meet you...so what brings you out to the lake?"
((eh...sorry for bailing on you but it's getting semi late on the east coast and i really need to start studying for my exams lol. i hope you feel better! goodnight.))

Apollo was generally an outgoing Ravenclaw... but it was all a front. He acted so outgoing to force himself to stay out of his own thoughts and away from his inner demons. They would drive him mad if he allowed them.
He shrugged, not really knowing why he had come to the lake. "It just seemed like a good idea," he told her. "Something of a nice day, even if it's cold, and the castle was stuffy. What's your excuse?"
