Andi wanted to refuse him. But she wasn't entirely sure she trusted her legs to support her all the way. She eyed him doubtfully for a moment, then nodded quietly. "OK," she said simply.
She stood up and wobbled slightly, but was able to walk to him. She still felt unsteady and exhausted, and it took every bit of strength she had to just put one foot in front of the other and keep walking. Her only comfort was that soon she would be in her chamber and she could lie down and shut out the world for a little while.
"Thank you," she whispered, glancing up at him.
