"Well, I haven't been anywhere else that's been like here. It's somewhere I can come back to and hopefully run into a few people I know." Marietta smiled. "I have your gift sitting on my kitchen counter. I was hoping to possibly run into you either today or tomorrow. If not, I was going to send you an owl. If you want, whenever you have free time, you can stop by and get it, or I can bring it to you."

She, evidentially, had not given up on him, however, and it made him feel almost guilty that he had given up on her.
"Whatever is good for you, Marietta. I work on my own timetable, so I can be free whenever you'd like me to be."
Another sip from his glass, and another smile directed at her. "But I like the fact that it gives me an excuse to see you again."

Marietta nodded. "I don't mind whenever you're not too busy with your writing. I know that I'll be in my apartment all day tomorrow unless I think about going to the store last minute."
Again, she blushed lightly. "You know that you don't have to have excuses to come by and see me. You can just come on by anytime you feel like it."

"Well now that you're back in town I can," Aaron replied, noticing- and liking- the blush on her cheeks. It really did feel like no time at all had passed.
He nodded. "All right then, I will drop by your apartment tomorrow. Should I owl first, in case you do decide to go to the store last minute?"
He felt like he should be asking her a million questions to catch up... afterall, he hadn't seen her in so long. But it didn't feel like he had missed any time. Perhaps he could convine her to share some stories when he came by the next day.

She was relieved that Aaron didn't think of her a stranger. Times started to feel like they used to. The time that she was gone seemed to be a blur for the moment.
"Just come on over. Don't worry about owling. I'll be sure to check around and make sure I don't need anything whenever I get back. If I do, I'll go first thing in the morning. I've become an early riser, so I'll be back from the store, if I have to go, before eleven."

"Oh, Merlin. You've turned into one of those people that's happy and bubbly at early hours, aren't you? I can't do it. Never could. Anything before 9 simply doesn't exist," Aaron told her, laughing slightly. Even in school, the morning classes had been extremely difficult for him. Working freelance allowed him to wake up when he wanted, and he liked that.
"Anyway, you shouldn't expect me until afternoon, at any rate."

Marietta laughed. "I blame it all on the time zone changes. I couldn't get used to one of those get up at 9 deals all the time because the time would change and I would just wake up early. But I'm not extremely bubbly in the morning, but then again that depends if I slept good or not."
She remembered that he was not a morning person. School was always interesting to see him in the mornings.
"Just come by whenever you like. I'll be there."

Aaron laughed. "Yeah, I can see where the time zones would mess with you after a while. I always get floo-lag when I travel. Of course, I get it sometimes when I don't travel, too... you know how writers are, holed up in tiny flats awake for days." He shrugged and laughed. "I fit the stereotype."
It couldn't be guessed by looking at him. He kept well, always looking clean and well rested. It was amazing what a shower and a good cup of coffee could do for you.

"You've always seemed to have floo-lag or something like that whenever we were in school," she replied with a laugh. "I also remember you sometimes walking like a zombie to class because you just rolled out of bed and got dressed just before you left, but you always seemed to appear as if you had been awake for a bit before hand."
Marietta shook her head. "I've got to figure out what I want to do. I can't just sit around my apartment all the time since I've gotten used to just going and going all the time."

Aaron laughed, nodding in agreement with her. "Oh, Marietta, you have no idea. Most days, I woke up with just enough to get myself to class. I had pajamas on under my robes half the time." Which was why no one really saw him on weekends until the afternoons. He always slept in late to make up for the weekdays when he couldn't. It was one of the perks of workig for himself.
"Are you looking for getting a job, or just a time consuming hobby?"

Marietta laughed again. "To bad I couldn't pull anything like that. We had those skirts that we had to wear, so I had to get up and get fully dressed." She wouldn't have put it past Aaron to wear his pajamas under his robes, she bet that he walked around all day in his at home now.
"I don't know exactly. Just something that I would enjoy doing. As long as you enjoy doing something, its not really a job. I just have to find out what that is."

Aaron laughed. "Remember we had a couple of teachers that were really slack about the robes? Everyone was always thrilled because they could just get away with the uniform, and I always still wore the robes? That's why. I was wearing pajama pants under."
Just like she imagined, when Aaron was writing, he could always be found in pajama pants, a muggle t-shirt, holding a cup of coffee.
"Hmm. I wonder if we can't find this new passion of yours with a little brainstorming. Who knows? Maybe you're meant to be a muse."

"You were always lazy, except when it came to writing of course." Marietta smiled. "Maybe we can find it. Who knows? Being a muse wouldn't be too bad, but of course there would have to be something else as well. I think the bookstore is hiring. Maybe I could check that out and see how well I like it. I used to think about working some where like that."

Aaron seemed to attract people who didn't know what they wanted to do with their life. It was curious to him, but he didn't mind it. Half he time, he felt like he was in the same boat.
"Well, love, if writing paid more, I would hire you as my muse. And then you wouldn't have to worry at all, would you?"
Whether or not the bookstore was hiring, they would find something for her. Aaron was never one to leave his friends in a lurch. She already knew she could stay with him if she was looking for anywhere to stay.
"Why don't you just open your own bookstore, and I'll write all the books you sell. It'll be very specialized."

"Then I could just sit around or sleep all day then hm," she asked with a teasing tone.
There was that unspoken invitation if she needed a place to stay she would have somewhere, however, Marietta had a place for her. She had always been one to not like to depend on someone else to help her. Maybe it was all the traveling that made her moreso that way.
"Opening my own bookstore? That does sound very tempting." Her hands played with the glass that was infront of her. "It would end up becoming the one of the more popular bookstore in London, if not the most popular. You would end up having a lot of girls hunting you down." Marietta had a light teasing smile on her face. "Of course that will still probably happen when you get more books out there."
