VooDoo Fun (Julian/Rystain/open)

[Lyra Newbury]

As childish as it was, Lyra was actually excited to see what Julian's new little toy could do, if anything. He had bought a VooDoo doll at the joke store in Hogsmeade, and they had decided it would be great fun to mess with Rystain. She was past the point of wanting to hurt him emotionally. Thoughts of him continued to stew and she now wanted to hurt every part of him. Lyra was quite sure this VooDoo doll would do nothing on its own, but perhaps Julian had a few nice curses up his sleeves to go along with it all.

When they had seen him earlier, Rystain had been headed in the direction of the kitchens. They had been in the common room, and then in Hogsmeade, both taking some time. It was doubtful that Rystain would still be in the kitchen, unless he had gotten caught up in conversation there. But as the corridor to the kitchens connected to the corridor that lead to the Slytherin Dungeons, it seemed the dungeons were the place to start.

While they were walking back to the castle Lyra had been trying to explain her relationship with Rystain to Julian. The tale had started out so simple. It wasn't until Lani came into the picture that everything had gotten complicated. "I don't know how much of what Lani said was true. I told you about her lying about what Rystain said about me. But she did say that even Rystain's roommates preferred him with me. Apparently he's the only one who doesn't agree! But I don't know, it could be just another lie." Lyra hoped that maybe talking about it out loud would accomplish two things. The first, that she would make more sense of it than if she kept it in her head. The second, she wanted Julian to feel comfortable to speak with her about whatever it was that was in his romantic past. His silent thoughtfulness in Hogsmeade had intrigued her.

[Julian Faust]

Julian wouldn't go to his past, he almost couldn't with any congenial feeling for the person whom he was explaining it to. He had too much pain that was buried under a facade of romanticism. Still he could listen to her speaking about her past and be there to lend a supportive shoulder.

He also had a large comforting hand that was holding hers, to the outside world they looked the happy couple. He whispered words of indulgence and sweet nothings, but he was surprisingly sincere about the compliments to her, and some admonishment on Rystain's part.

As for Rystain he had something amusing in mind.

[Rystain Quandry]

Rystain had been taking care of some business around school this day, he had even made time to get something special from the kitchens. It was time now though to head back to the Slytherin common room, as he walked through the halls of Hogwarts. The noise of the others was oblivious to Rystain as thoughts of Lani and Lyra crossed into his mind once more. Both so deliciously perfect in their own way, yet neither one willing to accept the other. A shame, his painfully hard decision could of been avoided if he was allowed to have both of his treasures.

Walking towards the dungeons he nearly ran into someone until he realized what was happening and then began to realize who it was he was seeing. "Lyra..." He coughed and tried to shake off his small moment of surprise before Lyra realized anything was going on. "How are you Lyra?"

[Julian Faust]

Julian didn't have pain in mind exactly, he wanted something else for the pretty boy slytherin. Lyra had been humiliated the other day when she was dumped by this idiot. He was sure the word whore came up once or twice in his hearing and he didn't like it. Lyra wasn't the whore, the man who was keeping two mistresses was, and Julian wanted the Slytherin house to know it.

"Rystain." he said in that deep resonant voice of his, " How nice to see you again today."

Tiny Lyra was nearly trampled on when Rystain wasn't watching where he was going. She glared up at him, but when he asked how she was doing, she smiled. "I'm great," she said smugly, wrapping her arms around Julian's body and leaning her head on him. "

Julian spoke to him and Lyra looked up to his face, to see if she could read what he had in mnd for RYstain. She couldn't, but didn't bother looking away.

[Rystain Quandry]

Rystain finally now realizing that Julian was there suddenly became very suspicious. Had Lyra suddenly decided to bring Julian here to rub him in Rystain's face for a while. He had chosen Lani, Lyra wasn't very happy with his decision and she moved on, Rystain expected that from Lyra. Yet that didn't mean he had to tolerate whatever she moved on too. Slipping his hand back slightly so it could hover over the familiar form of his wand inside the pocket of his robes. "Is there a reason i'm being blessed with this little encounter? Or would you two like to get out of my way...."

Lyra ignore Rystain's question. She had no intention of getting out of his way, nor did she plan to spoil the fun by telling him what they had planned. "I was just talking to Julian about you. And here we run into you. Isn't that funny?" She smiled a sickeningly sweet smile at Rystain, keeping her arms wrapped around Julian as she spoke. "I was just saying how you were nice enough to keep me company when Rabastan was busy." She remembered him saying something about Rabastan the other night, and she hoped it had been a sign of jealousy that he had brought it up.

[Julian Faust]

Julian nipped at her ear and tushed her. He'd serve Rystain a turn to be sure, but spiting him now would only give him power over her and Julian wanted to give Lyra all of her own power back. So with a gentle smile he stepped out of Rystain's way pulling Lyra with him. He had an idea of course but it wouldn't work unless Rystain was in public.

It felt to Lyra that just moving out of Rystain's way was like giving in to him, but she obeyed Julian's tug on her and moved. Rystain still had not responded to her comment about Rabastan and she now realized that it had done no good to bring it up. She was just emphasizing his point that she was a whore. She hugged Julian tightly to hide her face while she composed herself.

[Julian Faust]

Julian kept his protective arm around her and kissed the top of her head as a silent movement of comfort. Julian would play his game on Rystain, but more importantly he would try and relieve Lyra of the pain Rystain's rejection caused. That pain would remain until she could move on with not necessarily well wishes, but apathy at least where Rystain's love life was concerned. Julian was hoping that it was Lyra's pride that was injured more than her heart but he couldn't tell as of yet.

Lyra looked up to Julian when he kissed her head. She gave him a smile and a curious look. She wanted to know what he was going to do wih Rystain, and she wondered when. Rystain was clearly harder to crack than she had ecpexted, which was making this whole thing harder for her to handle. She wanted to just go back to her room and shut herself away.

[Julian Faust]

Lover. Fighter. It was hard to tell with a man like Julian. He was an easy going guy...up to a certain point, but he could be ruthless, men couldn't survive any other way at least not in his circles. He saw the bloodlust in Lyra's eyes, her impatience to see what he had up his sleeves, how exactly he planned on humiliating Rystain, and for a few moments he doubted if what he was going to do would be wise. He usually didn't lose focus but with Lyra he did seem to feel...something out of the ordinary. Perhaps it was the relationship this girl had to Samantha. Samantha, who didn't trust or even to his knowledge really befriend anyone, was sticking her neck out for this girl. Lyra then must have some mystery to her, something undefinable that made a connection, he was starting to feel it himself.

Still he shook these thoughts out of his head and focused on his revenge, or Lyra's revenge rather. The voodoo doll was nice enough, yes he could have broken bones, could have cast hexes, could have caused rather a lot of pain, but humiliation was key. If he could hurt Rystain's Pride and have that be enough for Lyra then he would know that Lyra's heart wasn't too badly broken, but rather her own pride had been shattered. If Lyra wanted Rystain's head...that was another longer, more difficult process.

He had allowed Rystain to walk past him, his arms still around Lyra. When Rystain was far enough away he leaned down to nibble Lyra's ear, "Ready to see the show love?"

"Very," she cooed in response to Julian's words. Her eyes narrowed as she looked on at Rystain, moving away from them completely oblivious to their mischeif. This had to make her feel better. She was humiliated in the common room. She wanted him to be humiliated now. That had to make her feel better, right?

[Julian Faust]

Julain's prank might have been considered childish, but he didn't care about Rystain or what other people thought. His only concern was for Lyra's pride which had been wounded the other day. Thus his punishment was rather...acute.

Rystain's journey into the common room would be one to remember as Julian began to strip the voodoo doll. That reoccurring nightmare you had when you walked into a room and were missing clothing was soon Rystain's reality. He started with Rystain's shoes tossing them to the side, then his cloak, and so on and so forth as Slytherin girls began to gather and giggle at the show but there was more.

Staring blankly ahead, Rystain refused to give Lyra the satisfaction of becoming jealous. He should of known this was bound to happen, of course Lyra would want to try and make him suffer for choosing Lani over her. Watching as Julian played no small part in stirring the part of him that still loved Lyra, as he finally moved himself and her out of the way, he continued his trek to the common room without turning back.

As he entered the Slytherin common room, he felt a strange sensation and his robes disappeared, and slowly but surely more articles of clothing began to follow. As the other students in the common room began to giggle and laugh, he growled and sprinted into the boys dorm, grabbing another robe out of his trunk. He quickly donned it as he tried to figure out what exactly was happening.

Julian waited for Lyra's reaction before guiding her to the couch to sit down. He expected to see disappointment perhaps or surprise, but Julian wasn't finished.

"Just wait." he murmured bringing her hair back behind her shoulder.

When next Rystain came down the stairs his clothing would be gone once more and the word, " Whore" would be written across his skin several times.

That was by the time Julian expected the most people to be in the common room as well.

Lyra watched as Rystain's clothes disappeared and the others in the room started sniggering. She too was laughing and buried her face into Julian's side to keep the sound from coming out. Rystain was gone the instant he noticed his clothes were missing, which wasn't long. Lyra gave a little pout, the fun was over too quickly.

But then Julian warned her to be patient and she was. She leaned into him while she waited, for what she wasn't sure. "That was brilliant. Did you see his face?"

Julian gave a half smile half smirk. He wasn't usually into revenge but he did enjoy when the lady in question was pleased. Still he wondered about his next trick and if it would have her laughing, or have her upset for Rystain. He wasn't sure what he wanted to see. Laughing perhaps, if she was laughing then indeed she would be over Rystain soon, if getting revenge didn't help then helping Lyra was going to be a bit more difficult.

Rystain began his trek down into the common room once more, he knew that Julian and Lyra were probably behind this mess. It's the only reason he could find to explain them both being in the dungeons just as he happened to be headed to the common room. Quickly brushing a hand through his hear, he entered the common room and realized halfway through he was bare once more and his chest sported a certain word in several different places.

As the laughter picked up, his grip tightened on his wand as his anger rose and he cared little for his current appearance. Storming out of the common room and presenting himself to Julian and Lyra, his eyes stayed glued on Lyra's the entire time. "This ends now Lyra, I chose Lani so deal with it!" His face was flush as he could barely contain the anger, he was showing his full glory off to a woman he still cared for and a guy who he could care less about.

Lyra covered her mouth to contain the laughter as Rystain reappeared. Something was written on his chest but she it took her a while to read it, she was too busy looking around at everyone else pointing and snickering. She bit her lip, still laughing herself but unsure if it was really funny anymore. It was just the other night when everyone had been staring at her in the common room. Granted, no one was outright laughing at her like they were Rystain, but she was sure it was much the same feeling. Rystain locked eyes with her at the same time she was about to lean over and tell Julian that she had seen enough, which stopped her. Lyra had been having fun up until a moment ago, but Rystain looked anything but amused. In fact, he looked furious.

From her position on the couch Lyra had to look up to meet Rystain's gaze, so instead she stood. She wouldn't have minded the view from a sitting position, except Rystain was shouting at her once more in the common room in front of everyone. "You think I care if you chose that slut over me? Get over yourself, Rystain." Her eyes began to tear up but she wasn't going down without a fight. "And I'm not doing anything. You're the one prancing about in your birthday suit. Is this some lame attempt to try to get me back? Because I have to tell you, it's not tempting. I've seen better."
