Eve had saved a bit here and there and had been anticipating for this moment and she was unusually excited about it. Then again Christmas only came once a year, which was one day of the year that Eve got to show the ones she loved just how much she loved them.
She had already knitted the boys scarves with their house colors on it, she had made other things for them and for their parents. Putting her artistry to the test she painted one portrait of both the boys in full quidditch regala, that she intended to give to Mrs. Jordan. She had also framed photos she had taken of the boys playing, and had mounted some quaffles to two by fours and spraypainted the miniature trophies gold to give to their father to place with the other trophies they had.
But making things came easy for Eve since she loved to do things for the people she loved and while she made each item with care and love she thought of the person in mind.
For Viv she had sketched a portrait of the girl as a princess with butterflies fluttering around, she had also made a bracelet, necklace, and earrings out of the beads Eve had purchased. She hoped Viv liked them.
But now she was *buying* something for the boys, and since money was tight, had meant less pleasantries for herself over the year, instead she had saved up to buy them "real gifts"
Entering the store she glanced in awe at the things that surrounded her but then, she realized, she didn't have a clue what to buy.

Jasper knew that the Christmas season was coming. His shelves had to be well stocked and organized so it would be easy to find things.
Working in a Quidditch Shop was something that Jasper loved doing, and the one thing that he didn't give up on. He finished stocking his shelves and turned the sign saying that he was open. Of course, he didn't have people pouring in yet, but it just made things easier if everything was in order.
Jasper stepped in the back and then heard the bell on the door ring, signalling a customer. He would give them a second before asking if they needed any help. While he waited, he reappeared at the counter and observed the person that walked in. She seemed to be a student, and she also seemed to be slightly lost.
He stepped out from the counter and walked up to her. "Do you need help with anything," he asked polietly.

She heard Jasper and looked at him as if he were her savior she nodded quickly, "Yes, yes please. I need something amazing. Oh, but you must have two of this amazing thing...or another amazing thing. I have to have two individually amazing things..." she said , " Or two of one amazing thing but I think they would rather have different gifts...but their twins you see, and...help me?"

Listening to the girl talk, Jasper let out a laugh. "Alright. I think I can help you with finding amazing things. Twins you say?" He thought for a moment. "Well, are they huge Quidditch fans? Do they play it a lot?" He motioned for the girl to follow him. "We have new Quidditch robes if you think they would like that. We just got in a brand new broom which I was able to try out. It's pretty amazing. It's faster than the older model. We have new gloves and goggles. There's also a new book of Quidditch Tricks that just came in last week."

"Robes!" she yelped, why the twin's robes had so many patches on them. She knew. She sewed them. She made good seems but the boys played hard and ended up tearing their robes every now and then, "Robes, I'd like to look at those please." she was already thinking of how she could embroider their names on the back of them.

He laughed again at the girl's actions and motioned her to follow him again. "Here is our robe selection. We have them where you can buy them based on the house they're in at Hogwarts. We also have the choice were you can get them in custom colors if you don't want those. You could special order them as well, if you want something a little different on them. In addition to that, they are made out of a new material that feels more comfortable for all weather conditions."

"I'd like something durable, something really very durable so they won't rip anymore." she told him fingering the material, "But I'd also like it to be soft, comfortable to wear like you said." She was smiling now at the thought of getting the boys robes, " I think we'll stick to the hufflepuff colors for now..." she told him, only because the boys were still in school plus, Eve could take them to get dyed later on if they joined a team after school.

Jasper nodded. "Hufflepuff robes are right here," he said sliding past her to a rack next to Ravenclaw colors. "The material is durable and it is stronger than the robes that were made last year. The material doesn't tear as easily which I like." Jasper picked up a set of Hufflepuff robes to let her feel. "I take it that your friends are rough quidditch players?"

She simply gave him a look as if rolling her eyes at how many times the boys had given her a terror in a game. She was just happy that the holes were in the clothes and not in the boys themselves.
"I like these..." she smiled as if making her decision, " I like these a lot. "she nodded then another thing occurred to her, "How much...?"

Jasper smiled as she liked the robes. The robes themselves were not that expensive, well at least not today since they just got them in. If the girl would have waited about another week, the prices would have doubled. It wasn't Jasper's fault that the price on them would go up, it was what the boss who happened to never be there said. "They are actually on sale right now, so for the both of them is ten galleons, six sickles, and nine knuts, or if you don't have wizarding money, I can also take any other currency."

She weathered her bottom lip, yes she had the money. It set her back for the other presents she had to buy, and then of course she would have to save money for next year's expenses. Still for all her worries and doubt once she had her hands on the robes she knew she was going to buy it, besides the prices were of course unbeatable. She turned to the man gave him a brilliant smile and nodded, "Two please."

"Wonderful," he replied. Jasper picked up two of the Hufflepuff robes and looked back to the girl. She looked like she had been debating but he motioned for her to follow him back to the counter. "For two, that will be ten galleons, six sickles, and nine nuts. Is there anything else you would like?" He pulled out a bag and folded the robes up nicely. "Do you want to keep these hangers?"

Eve took the money out of her small purse and handed it over quickly, " Yes please." she nodded. She really couldn't have found a better deal and she smiled to herself, she was smiling wider and wider by the second too happy about her purchase to care how much it would cost, she would have payed twenty galleons if she needed to, the boys would love these she hoped.

Jasper took the money she offered and put it in the register as he finished folding up the second pair of robes. He neatly put them into a bag along with the hangers. Once he made sure everything was in the bag, he handed it to her.
"Thank you. I hope that the boys enjoy them."

"Me too" she said happily as she collected the bag that looked too big for a girl her size to carry, but she would endure. "Thank you so much." she called to him with a smile before leaving the store.
She had a few more stops to make that day all for shopping, then finally she got the gifts wrapped at another store. She would add her own personal decorations to the wrapping when she got back home since she had an idea about how each of them should look. Finally with all that done she began her trek back to the school.
Walking alone however she remembered Katie's death and suddenly she felt very alone and quickened her steps to get back to the castle, she needed to go shopping alone to get the presents but she wished she wasn't alone in that moment.
