She had forgotten all the different ways Christian made it easy to love him. She knew her pride should have lasted longer, and if not her pride, her sheer disbelief that his feelings could change for her after a week fifteen years ago and then a solitary night a few days ago, but she did believe things had changed...she wanted to, needed to.
She'd forgotten that he did what he was doing now...holding her...which was half of the reason she fell for him the first time. Not that she really ever turned down the alternative , but the fact that he would keep her close even while they weren't making love, made her feel loved, she could only thank whatever entity that brought him back to her, and still fear the same fates that might take him away, she didn't know if she'd pull through it a second time.
"I believe you..." she whispered softly back to him. She believed he'd keep his word, that he'd find their daughter, and that he'd keep them safe.

Christian lay there stroking Diana's hair as he pondered on their next big adventure. Finding the daughter that had been lost fifteen years ago, there were spells but he knew nothing of them his talents didn't lie in such fields. "Diana my love, how are we going to find our daughter? Derek told me about your blood and how we could use mine instead but...I dont know anything about spells like that." Sighing he wondered also on how he was going to go about quitting the Death Eaters, that would be the true test that lie ahead now.

She had turned into him and was resting in a very peaceful manner, but inside the same questions were running through her mind, along with the worry that whatever temporary solution they had reached here was going to be just that. Temporary. Repressing a shudder she moved closer to him when he asked how they would find their daughter.
"I'm not sure...I've been trying to narrow it down using my cousin's blood...however the bond is simply..." she sighed, " I don't know if it will work the same for you...my father...my family rather has a better knowledge of the spells than I...but.." she more or less hadn't talked to her family in years. Her cousin a few times, but usually just to get more blood when needed.
"We have to try..."

Christian knew Diana was right, they had to try to find their daughter. If Diana's family knew the spell to find her then he would work his way through each and every one of them left alive and rip the answers he wanted out of them. "We will try, I don't care if I have to pile up the corpses of your family, we will find the way." He lay there staring at the beautiful form of Diana laying next to him, leaning over a bit he gently kissed her forehead.
"Don't worry, we'll find her and then we can be a family...forever." The words seemed to hang in the air, how could he actually be saying this. This was not a Christian move but Diana had a hold on him that no one had ever had before and as far as he was concerned, Diana was as good as it could ever get.

His admissions, his desires, his promises, they all threw her this way and that and she wasn't sure how to deal with them.
His threat to her family almost made her smile but his statement that they would be a family...forever no less warmed her and she pressed closer to him, "You'd promise me forever?" she asked. He had bombarded her this evening as he had done that other day, and a flood of emotion made her act like that silly teenage girl once more. She had grown, she wasn't the same but he tossed all that out the window.
Thinking of the window made her smile, made her hold him tighter. They would find their daughter...somehow.
