Gregory walked in the Hog's Head and ordered firewhiskey and then took a seat at a table. He just returned from a hunt in Finland. The hunt didn't go extremely smooth, but it went alright. He ended up chasing a vampire that had caused a bit of trouble.
The Hog's Head was always a good place to come to see if there was anyone with any news of a new hunt or maybe he would even go to the Leaky Cauldron if there weren't any new hunts to be discovered here. Although, Gregory would rest for maybe a day or two before he disappeared again.

Kyle was in a foul mood. It was unusual for Kyle to be in such a terrible mood, but he had just discovered that there were sightings of a child vampire in the area, and that she may have killed as many as 8 people since the first time he had seen her. Delila, her young and innocent face, still haunted his dreams. It was unfair for a girl so young to be turned into a soulless demon. He wished he could have found a way to save her from this fate or at least release her from her afterlife, so that no one else would have to die.
But despite his search of the conservatory and the surrounding area, including the cemetary, she had not turned up again.
Finally, exhausted and irritated, Kyle wandered into the Hog's Head for a drink. He approached the bar, not even bothering to look around, and sat down. "Firewhiskey," he said. "And leave the bottle."

Rubbing his chin, which was starting to grow a beard, he looked up and saw Kyle Connolley walk in. Gregory hadn't seen him in awhile. In a way they were rivals, but then again sometimes they got along with each other. He studied the man for a moment. There was something on his mind apparently.
Gregory finished off his glass and walked up to the bar for another. He stepped beside Kyle. Once again, he took a glance over him and gave a shake of his head. "You look like hell Connolley."

Kyle turned at the sound of the familiar voice next to him. Gregory was a former colleague and occasional business rival; the only other Dark Creature Catcher who worked independently of the Ministry. They hadn't seen each other in a while, and Kyle had hoped that the other man had moved on somewhere else. "Oh, thanks, Tucker," he grumbled. "Bloody good to see you, too."

The bartender refilled Gregory's glass. "I'm just telling you like it is," he replied before starting to drink his second glass. Of course, on his hunts, he would stop at the occasional bar, but to him, the Firewhiskey was better here than anywhere else. The other places liked the watered down stuff.
"How's the hunting on your end?"

Kyle sighed and took a drink from the glass that was placed in front of him. "It's been crazy lately," he said. "Seems like I'm constantly on call for something or other. And there's this vampire I've been trying to track, but I keep losing her." He didn't really care to elaborate further; not with Gregory. He wasn't about to tell his rival that it was his fault that the child vampire was still on the loose.

"I ended up chasing my last vampire to Finland. He was a hard one to keep up with too, but then he did like to leave some kind of mark," he said resting his elbows on the bar. Gregory's ears perked up when he noted that Kyle had kept losing a vampire. Of course, he had done the same, but in the end he ended up finding it and dealing with it.
"How long have you been hunting the vampire?"

Kyle frowned. "A couple of months now. I always seem to get there just a second too late. The thing is... she's a child. Probably not more than 13 years old. She looks innocent... but she's deadly. Just like any vampire. It kills me to see her face... I can't imagine how anyone could do that to a child. Even a vampire. It would have been better if the monster had just killed the girl." His hand shook and he gripped his shot glass convulsively. Every person the girl killed was another death on his conscience and it was beginning to eat away at him.

Gregory frowned as well. He hated to see children turned. It would have been better if the thing that attacked them would have just finished them off, although the child's death would be bad enough. He had a soft spot for children and it was always hard to do something to them.
"Sorry Kyle," Gregory said. "I don't know what to tell you to help you ease your mind, other than you're not looking at a 13 year old girl, you're looking at the thing that killed her. I know that its hard and I'm not going to tell you its easy because its not. Something has to be done because if she knows that she can get to you, then its bad news."

Roxanne was in a bitter mood as well, though she hid hers well. She was still chasing her own vampire, though she blamed Gregory for it getting away the first time. Still, she didn't hold a grudge.
She stepped up to the bar and ordered a firewhiskey before she realized that the very man she had just thought about was three bar stools next to her. Great, she thought. She was here to see if she could find any leads, and didn't expect him to be here, though it solidified her belief that he was a hunter, much like her.
She took her drink and turned to find a table, hoping to slip away unnoticed.
