Arianna's head lay upon her open book. The desk she sat at was a pretty long desk, six chairs lined one side of it. She couldn't tell even in estimation what time it was. Not that something like that would bother her. Arianna usually never even knew what day it was. In fact, she was pretty sure today was Friday but that was probably wrong.
The book was pretty uncomfortable, as well as the side of the desk and the chair. She was used to discomfort, even so she'd be lying here for a few hours now at least.
Arianna's back twitched as the sound of someone moving nearby surprised her. Soon, there was the noise of footsteps nearing her table. Arianna sat up and wiped her mouth with the wrist of her left hand. She pulled the book closer to her, resting it against her stomach and the desk's edge. Arianna gazed down at the textbook and pretended to consider it seriously.

Kassia shuffled towards the table not having seriously noted Arianna, but as the girl's startled action caused Kassia to glance upward. She gave a small nod, the girl being in slytherin obviously would receive a nod.

"Afternoon Arianna, pleasant dreams?" she asked, she didn't think something was wrong, she simply thought that the girl had fallen asleep, and who hadn't when studying at one point or another?

Arianna turned her head to quickly check for other signs of people. She then turned to Kassia and gave a relieved nod. Her paranoia was likely unjustified; she wasn't supposed to be doing any homework after all. Arianna faked a yawn as she slid the book back over the desk then stretched her arms over her head.
"I nearly thought I'd dozed off during lessons. A pity too; the Professor's reaction might've been hilarious!" Arianna forced a chuckle at the poor humor. Once her mild chuckling was under control, Arianna gave Kassia a stern(almost disapproving) glance before finally coming to the end of her patience and lifting the book's front cover to peak around at the title.

Kassia watched Arianna's mood flicker to one end of the scale to the other and smiled evasively as she continued down the isle, "I was just getting something for charms." she announced in a way that said she wouldn't be intruding for long.

Arianna straightened back up then turned her head toward Kassia again. She gaped at Kassia for a moment then nodded dissapointedly. "I'm not very capable in Charms either." Arianna turned back to her desk and pulled the book closer and read a few spells from the book in a whisper. After reading the definitions of three spells which by the end of the third description she'd already forgotten all of them, Arianna turned her head to Kassia once again. "That's probably why I'm in the library reading this book," Arianna remarked as if it were normal to forget why you were ever reading a textbook.

Arianna was a strange girl to be sure, sometimes you would forget what you were talking about only because she would forget, and sometimes it was annoying and other times it was just bizarre but Kassia didn't give any outward indication of how strange she thought the girl, "Well, I'm not poor at charms I just prefer the extra studying when there's tests...you know...the one tomorrow...?"

Arianna shrugged at the thought of a test. "I'll just skip it." As if that was a proper way to solve her problem she threw the textbook shut and sighed.
Arianna pushed the book away along the table toward Kassia, "I suppose you could use that one. I'm finished with it. Haha!" Arianna was grinning devilishly as if she'd just come up with a very clever plan.

Kassia, who had never skipped nor failed an exam, frowned momentarily before righting her smile and nodding, what Arianna did with herself was no consequence of Kassia's.

"Thank you." she said instead politely taking the book that the girl had closed and eyeing it a bit curiously. She wanted to do well and please her parents so she studied long hours to make sure she did well, even if she already knew the material.

Arianna smirked and put her head down on the table again. She didn't have much else to do but sit here and day dream. So she figured she might as well have a nap.
"I'll just be waiting here if you need anything else!" Arianna yelled a bit over-enthusiastically. She was kind of hoping Kassia would stick around but Arianna really had nothing much to say. Unless you counted complaining about her teachers and parents. That never seemed to keep anyone interested very long though. "If I'm 'sleep, you can nudge me."

Kassia thought the girl strangely over eager to see her and it almost was uneasy but she turned a smile over her shoulder and nodded. If she needed anything else...but she didn't think she did need anything. Then inwardly sighing, she wondered if Arianna was lonely, in fact Kassia didn't know who Arianna hung out with.

Kassia had her sisters so she wasn't really ever lonely, sometimes even she felt a bit crowded but that was fine.

Also she was a Burke and Burkes held their own spot in the social circle.

She turned back, "Well I suppose...I mean if you didn't want to sleep, we could study together."

Arianna lifted her head a bit and raised an eyebrow. "Study?" She seemed to find the concept foreign, "For the test tomorrow?" Arianna had never tried studying before, perhaps it could help. Arianna bit her tongue and laid her head on the table again, turning away from Kassia. When she sat back up again, Arianna smiled nervously.
"I should try.. at least.. you know... Or, I could! I meant I could. If you really don't mind that is?" Arianna smirked in an attempt to keep from looking strange.
