Character Name: Erich Jonathon Sirius Scotts-Black
Year: Second
Preferred House (you may not get it, unless you are a canon character): Gryffindor/Slytherin
Strengths: Erich liked to experiment and has made a few spells of his own devices, and a potion or two that have funny side effects. He's also able to stand there while getting yelled at and not take anything in.
Weaknesses: Erich doesn't want to disappoint anyone in anything and has a fair amount of stress with school grades and family expectations. He also has a short temper and loves pranking.
Personality: On first appearance, Erich comes off as a shy, weak and timid boy. And it's not really the truth. Erich is shy around some relatives and females, but no-one else.
Erich, his family originating from Germany, has a thick accent and can't hide it as well as his parents. Erich doesn't find it difficult to make friends.
Erich is also strictly rebellious against his family's Pure-Blood mindset. He mingles with muggle borns and half-bloods as if they were all the same and he has love of pranking.
Brief History: Erich comes from the Scotts-Black family line. If you're thinking of Sirius, you're right! Sirius' Great-great-great-great-great grandfather had four children. Two boys, two girls. Sirius' comes from the first son, while Erich's line comes from the second. (I don't know if this is allowed on here, so if it isn't I'll change it.)
Erich's family line took to Germany (two generations down) and moved back to England six years ago. Being in England for the last five years, Erich has had to adapt to their language and visit relatives. One of his favourites was Sirius, as he too seemed to be set against the pull of the Black mindframe.
When Erich got his letter to Hogwarts, his parents were estatic.

Erich is approximately five foot seven with growing potential, he has a soft face and dirty blonde hair. His eyes are a gripping shade of green and his usual attire consists of a dirty pair of high-top chucks, knee-ripped blue jeans, and an open button up white shirt with a black, faintly white striped, silk zip up hoodie.

The rain beat down steadily onto the stonework of the Hogwarts castle and a lone blonde headed boy sat in the library, head so close to his book that he might go cross eyed at any moment. In his right hand, a quill scratched feverishly against a long peice of parchment and the boys face was formed into concentration.
After only a minute, the book, quill and parchment were suddenly moved aside or pulled across the table away from him and Erich sat up suddenly to be faced with Sirius, James, Remus and Peter. "What are you doing in the library Erich?" James asked with a smile.
"Studying." Erich replied cagily.
"With your face as close to the book as Snapes?" Sirius asked and Peter and James laughed. Remus was looking at Erich sympathetically.
"The writing is small." Erich responded, still caging his answers.
"Come on Erich. We're going to have some fun." Sirius and James said at the same time and Sirius grabbed Erich's arm and started dragging him out of the library. Remus picked up Erich's things and followed after James, Peter brought up the rear.
"You've got to teach me that one spell you pulled on that Matthews chick." Sirius said, still pulling a reluctant Erich.
"I don't know vhat-"
"The one where you made her ears turn into horns and start steaming." James laughed as he walked on the other side of Erich.
Erich stopped struggling, seeing as it wasn't doing any good since James had also begun dragging him and looked at James. "It's not a spell."
James and Sirius stopped, looked at each other, and then at Erich.
"What is it then?"
Erich rolled his eyes. "It's a potion."
Sirius started laughing and pointed across the grounds to a pair of people sitting under a tree talking. Sirius took Erich's bag from Remus, who looked even more sympathetic, and went through it until he found a small vial. "Is this it?"
Erich's mouth thinned slightly and Sirius and James grinned. "We want you to give it to Snivellus." They said unanimously. Erich rolled his eyes again.
"You two really don't understand potions do you?"
The two looked at each other, smiles gone, and shook their heads.
"Didn't think so." Remus smiled while Sirius, James and Peter all looked confused. Erich decided to explain, letting them think on it would probably damage their pranking skills, and Erich liked that about them.
"The potion relys mostly on thought. I gave Sophia the potion in a drink, waited and then imagined her with steaming horns instead of ears. Only the person who gives the potion can make the recievers appearance change. And it's not even permanent."
Remus' smile grew, but so did the rest of the Marauders'. "Oh god. Why did I say that." James suddenly had the vial, and Erich slapped his hand against his face. Before he could even blink, the two Marauder leaders were halfway across the grounds to the tree.
