Alenna wondered if the weather would get bad enough to start storming. Storms almost always lead to thunder and lightning and she shivered at the thought of the loud bangs of lightning hitting the castle.

Silence ensued after that and Sophie was a little afraid that she had something to do with it. She worried too much about her speech and not enough about simply being herself. But to the day the only person who liked her for herself was her parents. She was almost afraid of getting to know other people.

Sophiesstayed quiet, as did Alenna. She had the feeling that Sophie didn't talk often, an no matter how much Lennie liked to chit-chat, she didn't mind the comfortable silence of simply sitting with friends either. So Lennie sat back in the couch to be a bit more comfortable and smiled at Sophie before opening her book to a random page and began to read.

And that was the end of their conversation. Of course she wouldn't have minded chatting some more but she didn't know what to say. With the finalization of deafening silence she turned to her own book, determined that next time she would find more to say.
