Joanne was excited that her sister Veronica was coming back home. Her sister had been gone for too long. It was getting too lonely for Joanne. Guys weren't like they used to be, and as of late, she hadn't been able to feel the lonely void, so it was a relief that Veronica was coming home.
She cleaned and made room for her sister at her apartment, where Veronica would be staying for a bit, until she could get her own apartment, or if she wanted, she could stay with Joanne. She didn't mind it either way. There was an extra bedroom in Joanne's apartment, so Veronica could stay for however long she wanted.
Her sister had left the apartment to go get something, and Joanne left Veronica a note telling her to meet her at Spellbound as soon as she could. They had a lot to catch up on, and what was better than catching up over a few drinks and maybe having fun.

Veronica came back from the Ministry and went to get a glass of water and sit on the couch to look at the Daily Prophet. She wasn't really in a hurry today, she had nothing better to do but be lazy and recover from traveling home. She was happy her sister had let her stay there for a while, and she didn't have any real desire to get a place of her own just yet until she found out how long she'd be staying here this time. It was about thirty minutes later before she realized that her sister wasn't in the apartment.
She looked around and found a note on the table that she had missed earlier when she came in. She got up and looked at the note to meet her at the Spellbound. Veronica shrugged to herself and went into the guest bedroom to change her clothes. She might as well go out and have a little fun with her sister, if nothing else for old time's sake. Maybe she could find herself a distraction for the night.
Veronica dressed in a slinky short red dress that flared out at her hips flatteringly showing off her legs. Then she was quickly out the door and headed to the club to meet Joanne. When she arrived she spotted her sister and went over to join her at the bar.

She started on her first drink while looking around. She wasn't looking for entertainment tonight, except for catching up with her sister. After all, she missed her. Being alone in her apartment was starting to get to her. Plus, she hadn't had any luck with guys lately. The last guy she danced with dropped her and just left her there! No one bothered to help her up. Joanne had left the place fuming that night.
Shaking the memory from her mind, her eyes landed on Veronica entering. She had to say that she loved her sister's taste in clothing. "Veronica," Joanne said excitedly. She stood up and hugged her. "I'm glad you made it!"

Veronica's eyes lit up as she saw Joanne, she was happy to hang out with her sister and catch up. She hugged her and asked, "So tell me what all I've missed with you while I was gone, sis." She sat down and waved over the bartender so she could order a drink. Once the bartender took both of their drinks she turned back to Joanne. She didn't mind being gone for periods on end for assignments, but she was glad to be back home and couldn't wait to catch up with her few friends, Ted & Arthur as well as her sister of course.

"Oh, you haven't really missed too much. Nothing really has changed, except for you missed out on meeting someone rude while you were away." Joanne rolled her eyes at the memory, but then smiled at her sister. "The guys here are still the same, sadly."
She took a drink from her glass. "Did you have fun while you were away?"

"Not unless you count taking down a few bad guys," Veronica chuckled softly at her ease of talking about the Death Eaters she'd managed to kill. She hadn't intended to kill them, her goal was always to capture them but the exploding spell she'd used on a object had caused flying metal shards to kill the two men. She wasn't happy about it, but it was done. Sometimes the bad guys died, but it was never her intention to kill them. Unlike a few Aurors who had perfect records of capturing and not managing to kill any, she wasn't perfect and it had been an accident of those two deaths. One had gotten away though, and she that upset her more. The following week she'd been summoned home with the death of a student causing issues for the new head of the department and her own screw up of killing two death eaters instead of capturing them. She was happy to be home but upset that one had gotten away.
"And who is Mr Rude that I missed meeting, and what did he do?" It had to be something recent if her sister was making a point to mention it, or it had been really bad. Which of course made her curious.

Joanne liked to listen to her sister's stories about going off places, although it was part of her job. Maybe one day Joanne would just go travel because. Goodness knows she had enough money to do it.
"Well, I suppose that's always I good thing." She gave a shrug. "Well, Mr. Rude was just pre-occupied however. That didn't bother me. He asked me to dance, which again didn't bother me, but what did was while we were dancing, he just dropped me! I mean, sure it's alright if you accidentally drop someone, that wouldn't have been a problem, but he didn't even bother to help me up! He just walked off with a couple other people and just left me there on the floor! Oh that bothered me so badly." Again, Joanne rolled her eyes. She could have understood if he just accidentally dropped her and then helped her up, but he just left her there, and that was what bothered her.

"He danced with you, dropped you on the floor and then just left you there to go join someone else like some forgotten puppet?" Veronica looked at her sister with disbelief. Who would do something like that? It was beyond rude, that was just cruel and hurtful no matter how little you knew a person. The man was obviously no gentleman. Who the hell would do something like that to a woman? She was upset for her sister, despite her sister's normally spoiled behavior, no one deserved to be treated like that.
((ooc: I'm timing this thread a few days after the Boy's Are Back In Town thread...))

"Yes," replied Joanne with a little bit of slight bitterness to it. "I could understand and not have been angry, if he would have just helped me up. But no. He didn't even bother. I got up myself and walked back home." She gave her head a shake. "I wish the guys weren't all the same. It would be nice to have one that is actually a gentleman, or that's really nice. I mean if I met a guy like that I would give him a chance, and I don't mean just for a one night stand either."
Joanned finished off her glass. "So V, have you met anyone speical," she inquired with a smile.
