Sam didn't have time to sleep, she had recon to do, but she did have time to tuck her friend in and wish her a dreamless sleep. She would stay until Lyra was in deep and then she would leave to get started on what she needed to do.

She thought it was strange for a moment, that she was pulling out so many stops for a friendship. It wasn't something she would normally do, it wasn't something she ever did...but she had never really had friends before.
